Thermocouple Thermometer Data Logger 4 Channels Digital K Type Thermometer with 5000 Groups Programmable Temperature Recording -328~2501℉ Measuring Range, Audible & Visible Alarm ADJ Compensation

I purchased two of these data loggers for a project and two other four channel loggers of a different manufacturer (the gray ones you see on Amazon). I prefer the other units; however, these are good if you understand the limitations and are certainly a good value considering the features at the price point. My application was stand alone data logging in a reasonably warm environment (110 degrees F), so I didn't want to use a laptop - just the data logger. You can program the unit without a computer and the user interface is relatively intuitive, but you'll still likely need the user manual. These units display the temperature while recording which is a nice feature that other similarly priced data loggers do not have. You can review data from the data logger after recording is complete; however, you must download software specific for this product in order to extract the data into a file which can be manipulated/plotted in a spreadsheet. I recorded for about 8 hours and had adequate battery life and data storage; however, at the conclusion of my test I was disappointed to find that there are no time stamps when logging data with the stand alone unit. I contacted the manufacturer/supplier (who has excellent tech support and response time by the way!) and they confirmed this was a limitation of the unit. You must connect to a computer when data logging with the supplied USB-C cable to time stamp data - bummer. If you note the time when you start recording you can backfit time stamps to recorded data, but this is an extra step and an opportunity to make a mistake. Of the two units I purchased, one malfunctioned almost immediately, with sporadic swings of indicated temperature. I took the time to contact the manufacturer for tech support and they were fantastic. This is the reason for the five star review. The time delay on responses indicates to me that tech support is not coming from the continental USA, but that's to be expected. Tech support suggested that I was experiencing electrical interference due to taking measurements near a large AC generator; however, upon following their suggestions and testing the instrument in other environments we concluded that I had a defective unit. They quickly shipped out a replacement which works well. The software is a bit clunky, but it's functional. I had to fiddle with identifying which USB port number to connect to the device. Search on the internet - there are plenty of how-to videos about using the software to extract data from this device. I don't use these as much as the other units I purchased primarily because they don't save time stamps with the data sets when used as a stand alone logging device and because they require downloading software to extract the data; however, for the price they have great functionality. The supplied thermocouples seem to be of good quality and provide repeatable data. I've used these with custom type K thermocouples with good results as well. If you need to see the temperatures when you're logging and you don't care about time stamps, these are a good buy.

Great device. Easy to use. Easy to read. I use this to measure the temp diff on my HVAC system, and it's been super reliable and useful. It's a good tool

Good little device. The PC program to see the measurements can be better. It shows everything nicely, but after you save the chart and later try to open it again, the program crashes.

Great purchase! I ve been testing it for a short time, but it seems to have a good performance. The software is awfull. I still need to test the datalogger function and the battery consumption.

Don't be deceived: The four channel and two channel units are displayed together here, but the two-channel unit does not have a logging capability. I'm returning it. Disappointed! This is an edit: This review reflects exactly the problem with this listing. These are two distinctly different products listed as options under one listing. I found this by searching for a logging thermometer. Then, being presented with two options - one with two channels and one with four - I selected the two-channel option because it was cheaper, and I only needed two. But I can't even submit a separate review for the four-channel unit, because I already submitted a review for the two-channel unit, and they are listed together on Amazon as two versions of one product. They are not. I did buy the four-channel, it works great, and the software ran perfectly under Windows 11. But I am not changing my one-star rating because attention needs to be called to the way these products are listed.

Device: decent build. Great display. Viewing data points on device handy. Can read data while recording. Date and time cannot be set in device, you will need to make a note of when you start recording. Software: looks and feels like its from 1995. Defaults to celsius; change units in right hand side prior to importing data. Live data recording is handy. Exporting table to excel nice BUT it includes the degrees symbol, which makes using the data hard. HINT: use =substitute function to remove degrees and then use =value function to turn it into a number. Youll essentially have to build a template to copy and paste exported data to in order to use it. It is dumb you have to do this to use the data and i have removed a star just because of this. Getting this device to communicate with COM ports is tricky. Youll need to enable COM ports in the device manager under legacy software. Once thats done youll notice when you plug it in a port appears with a "!" on it. This means it doesnt have the correct driver. Google search "CH341SER" and the first link will bring you to a downloadable file. Download file. Then go into device manager and manually update driver for this port while device is plugged in. Search that downloaded folder and computer should pull drivers it needs. Should work after that. Function: instructions are missing info. Doesnt talk about calibrating and using adjustment feature. My understanding is you can adjust each channel by whole number degrees to calibrate it. Boiling water would do the trick. Note that calibration technically depends on length of wire. Wish the time intervals were better; it goes from 1 minute to 30 minutes with no way to change it (10 would be nice). This gets annoying cause it only can store 5000 points... so at 1minute thats almost 3.5 days.

The seller is dedicated to customer service. Initially I gave this a one star review because the unit was defective out of the box. One of the LCD segments was non-functional. I returned the initial unit. The seller reached out to me and offered me a replacement unit free of charge. I accepted the unit and it works great. It appears to be within a degree of calibration. I checked it using an ice bath and boiling water. Over all I'm very happy with the unit.

J'ai été très heureux de trouver ce thermomètre électronique à deux canaux, surtout à ce prix très raisonnable. Outre le fait de pouvoir mesurer deux sources chaudes séparément, c'est pratique de pouvoir effectuer la mesure principale avec la température ambiante en référence. Ce que je considère comme une chose très importante, c'est que l'appareil soit livré avec 4 sondes à thermocouples, 2 sous formes de sondes pour l'air, les gaz ou les liquides, et 2 avec des thermocouples ponctuels permettant une prise de mesure très précise sur un point très petit et très localisé, ce qui est précisément mon cas en mesurant la température d'un fil chaud porté "au rouge". C'est vraiment un excellent appareil et je suis très satisfait de cet achat.

I need to be sure of refrigerator temperature for storing temperature sensitive medicines. When I retired from industry I never thought I'd need this sort of thing, it is as good as what I am used to but as robust. Perfect for domestic and light industrial jobs.

Provato con molto scetticismo ma poi comparato con uno strumento certificato utilizzato per lavoro e fatte le opportune minime correzioni (anche se potevano essere evitate) posso dare solo 5 stelle a questo prodotto. Ich habe das Thermometer geholt um die Bodentemperatur von einigen Pflanzen zu prüfen und dafür ist es sehr gut geeignet. Habe auch eine T-Sonde dazu geholt und es funktioniert einwandfrei.

One of the thermocouple was not working. And amazon is not letting return the item.
