ecoCalmNeck Cooler Fan 2023, Neck Air Conditioner Cooled by Semiconductor Chilling Plates, Rechargeable Neck Cooling Fan with 3 Speed Mode and 360 Degree Fans

(Review by my husband who has used and tested it)Firstly, this fan actually does live up to the claims. The chilling plates do work and they cool down almost instantaneously (2 to 3 seconds). Although I always feel hot, I can well believe that many people may find that they have to turn the unit off due to the very cold sensation on the skin after 10 to 20 minutes of use. How good it will be in very hot situations I do not yet know, but we bought it for a holiday in Italy and I will try to remember to add something when we get back. That said, I cut our lawns in about 22/23C and high humidity and the fan felt like having two ice cubes on the back of my neck. I have used it several times since and I am increasingly impressed.I was going to give it 4 stars rather than 5 because: Without me realising it, the fan (in navy) that we bought was an Amazon Warehouse return with a discount price of £16.99 rather than £39.99. The full price is too high, the battery rating is only 4000mAh rather than the 8000mAh and 9000mAh of some fans. As such, it will only run for 2 to 2.5 hours with the cooling plates on low to medium (although I just had it run for 2 hours 56 minutes). At about £30 this would be a v.good deal – excellent at £40 if it had an 8000mAh battery and a 2 year warranty. However, I think that there is now an Amazon Prime discount voucher of 50% on this product and with that it is a very good buy - hence 5 stars.Some people have said that this fan/cooler is too small, i.e. it does not hang in front of the neck like a regular neck fan. The reason for this is simple. It does not have vents in the front, it cools you via the two cooling plates that rest against the back of your neck. The sensation that you feel is one of having two ice cubes on the back of your neck and the cooling literally takes a couple of seconds once you switch it on – it is very impressive. Also, do not expect a blowing sensation. This is not a neck fan as such, but a chilling plate cooler, even though they seem to go under the general “neck fan” name. Incidentally, people will look at you when you wear it as it does not have the headphone appearance of a standard neck fan - Enjoy the attention, they may even think that you have a neck injury and give you extra consideration! Build quality appears pretty good.Finally, the instructions are useless and I would guess that is why our unit was a return. The fan speed button is a toggle button. Just pressing the middle of this button does not work. Hope this helps if you are considering buying and I would certainly recommend this product.

The media could not be loaded.  This safe,ecocalm cooling neck fan comes with many fantastic features. I love the 360 degree, hands free design. It is comfortable to wear it on your neck. It provides you with an instant cool down when the weather gets hot. It is made of soft and skin-friendly silicone material. Compared to my other neck fan, it is less noisy and it comes with three fans speeds. It has a 4000mAh built in battery. This fan can be fully charged in a few hours with the included USB-C cable and it should last for 18 hours. Due to being lightweight, it can be taken anywhere with you whether it is a commute to work, or doing some outings. I will be using this a lot during my dog walks. This is a great item and I recommend it to others. The only negative thing I could mention is that it is very pricey. Overall, it is modern looking, stylish and it does exactly as described.

Having received this product today, I was sceptical as there were few reviews by paying customers. Simply put, this is the real deal! Below I will outline the good and bad of my experience with the ecoCalm.The good:- Those cooling plates! There’s a reason that the instructions warn about frostbite with prolonged use.. they are cold! I found that after about a minute of use the cold became slightly uncomfortable, however this soon dissipated and left me with the coolest sensation running down my neck.- The fans are quiet and fairly subtle given they are positioned behind the cooling plates. However on speed 3 they are powerful enough to push that cooled air as far as the face and take the edge off the coldness of the plates (should they be getting a bit too much).- The quietness as mentioned above. Most neck fans I’ve tried have been loud. And while I don’t mean passing vehicle loud, they are enough to disturb any activity you may be performing. This product is very quiet by comparison and on speed 1 you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s not running!- Finally, given the cost of the few other “cooling” devices on the market, I believe the ecoCalm is priced relatively fairly.The bad:- the silicon band is pretty much perfectly fitted to my neck. However my partner tried the device and stated how uncomfortable it was. I think this is purely down to the manner in which the plates rest on your neck and will be entirely personal. The silicon doesn’t offer much in being able to shape the device, and as such it won’t be a one size fits all.- the coldness (ironically)… it will catch you in the “Oooo 😬” because it does get that cold. Thankfully the cold function is easily toggled on and off to suit (or you can just ride through the “ow!” until you feel it run down your neck. That being said, I would definitely recommend following the instruction books advice to avoid any complications.- the battery life is on the lower side for a portable device. Whilst it’s to be expected given the cold function, it could have benefitted from a larger battery capacity to compensate. It must be said that the device works as “fan only” during charging, however it’s a good compromise should you have a power bank to charge on the go.All in all I am very pleased with this product. Whilst it isn’t perfect, the flaws can be worked around to produce a genuinely cooling experience. If you’re in the middle of a heatwave (as I am right now), it’s definitely worth the investment!

The heat produced will return to ur neck. This is dumb

Had to send these back as not as good as the fans that blow air into your face and these weren’t very cold either disapointed as these where half price so thought they would be good considering the price when not on special price
