wolfcraft Dust Catcher for Drill Bits I 2900000 I For dust-free drilling without a vacuum cleaner

This dust collector was one of the cheapest, if not THE cheapest one I could find on Amazon. Some of the prices of this type of device are ridiculous for what they do. However, this particular one has performed brilliantly the couple of times I've used it while installing a blind in the kitchen window bay. I had to drill holes overheard, so didn't fancy getting myself, the drill and the kitchen covered in dust so ordered one of these and did the job when it arrived. It caught all the dust perfectly and I was even able to let go of it while drilling so I had both hands free to drill while this little beauty was just sat on the drill bit, spinning around with the drill bit and capturing all the dust as it dropped down out of the drilled hole. It was great! It performed majestically and caught every speck of dust and I was able to get the blind up in no time at all with NO clearing up to do afterwards. And this was about the cheapest on Amazon and I would highly recommend this simple but very effective bit of kit to anybody who is looking for a dust catcher but doesn't want to get striped up price wise!

Not a bad little gadget saves getting vacuum out . Just got to remember to keep emptying it. Thought it might be a bit bigger(pics decieve ) . Does the job for me keeps customers happy.

I love the idea of being able to collect the dust when drilling as it makes such a mess and this item does perform reasonably well. However, it is not immediately obvious which side goes to the wall and once the dust has been collected it is far too easy to tip it up the wrong way and undo all your good efforts by emptying the dust all over the floor. I have purchased a rather more expensive Karcher battery operated one but this one will do for people more able than me!

I'm impressed - from time to time I need to do small jobs for myself and for others and sometimes I'm not doing enough to justify dustsheets and other forms of protection. I have in the past taped a small bag to the wall where I was drilling however I was concerned about pulling paint or paper off the wall. I saw this and thought I like and trust the brand so I would give it a go and as simple as it is - it works really well. It definitely works better than the plastic bag as it forms a complete seal around the whole area. I now carry this around in the box with my drill - great for those small jobs where the cleaning up used to take longer than the job itself.

Worth the money and very easy to use. I have black mortar in my walls and this kept drill dust down to a minimum.

Excellent little gadget, just remember which way you use it as have forgotten which way it faces sometimes. Would have been better with a clear removable dome to keep in the wall dust if tilted but otherwise good to use. Keeps an area a bit tidier once drilling.

This works. I used it to drill some holes in my brick ceiling and it caught nearly all the dust. That has saved me a lot of cleaning. Bear in mind that this device works for ceilings, but not for walls. When drilling a hole in a wall what you need to do is tape a plastic bag just under the entrance of the hole. Then, when you are finished, put a piece of non-stick paper over the tape so you can reuse the bag another time.
