Simple, yet modern
This brushed nickel up & down wall light is well built and has a simple, yet modern look to it. The brushed nickel finish adds a great look to the exterior of the house. I wish it came in a set of 2, but this would make a decent porch light. I installed one on each side of my garage door, replacing 2 white lantern style lights. These match the landscaping lights much better than what was previously up there. They put off just enough light not to be too bright, but just bright enough. Installation was easy, as I had wiring in the spot already. So far the lights have held up well, and I have not come across any issues.

Had to get another one.
I had to buy another one of these beautiful fixtures to match the first one. Absolutely gorgeous up and down light! Installed on back patio. Beautiful!

The upgrade we needed!!
I live in a house that was built back in the 1960s. And I am fairly certain that pretty much nothing has been updated aside from wiring and appliances. So I could not pass up getting a new porch light because ours was just awful looking!!It took just around 40 minutes to install, which I did by myself, which is was proud of. I could not believe how much better it made the appearance of the porch look!! However, the one thing that really astonished me was how much brighter my porch is now!! Holy cow!!! I no longer have to worry about possibly falling down the stairs due to the poor lighting outside! And for someone who has a history of ankle problems that is a huge thing!!I am so very happy with this light and how easy it was to install! I definitely recommend this to everyone who happens to be needing to get a new porch light. I know that you are going to be just as impressed as I am.

Heavy Grade Housing, Nicely Finished, Non-Replaceable LED modules
As part of renovating my house, I have been replacing lots of light fixtures, so ordered this one. The metal housing is very sturdy, heavy-grade, and nicely finished. The included instructions are clearly printed, illustrated, and sequentially laid out. The fixture installs easily if you have a standard flush-mounted electrical box that has room for the wire nuts and excess wire. The fixture comes with an electrical box mounting plate, screws, and wire nuts (see product photos on Amazon page). The fixture is warranted for 5 years, and is ETL rated. The light output ample, with a warm white, 3000K color. This is really a 5 star product but I removed a star for two reasons: The unit I received only illuminated from the bottom half. I disassembled it and found a wire that had not been crimped correctly, which was an easy fix for me, but not desirable. Also, when the LEDs or power supply transformers fail, the entire fixture must be replaced.

Modern looking.
This is a good looking modern fixture, immensely more attractive than the plastic exterior wall light it replaced. It is quite bright and is not dimmable. All lights should be dimmable. My experience with led lights is that they gradually become dimmer with long use. In this case that will be welcome. My first choice of location was controlled by a dimmer switch, so it would have been a hassle to install it there, and I chose a different spot. One complaint: the nuts that hold it on to the wall are little round featureless stainless steel nubbins. No tool fits on them, it's hard to get a decent finger grip on them, and it's impossible to see whether they are turning or whether one's grip on them, with either fingers or pliers, is actually turning them or merely slipping. Nothing else holds the unit to the wall. The manufacturer should instead provide stainless steel cap nuts.To prevent marring the nubbins, I tried wrapping electric tape around the teeth of a pliers, but it seemed to me that the pliers was probably just slipping on the nubbins. Then I put little pieces of tape on the nubbins so I could see whether they were rotating with the pliers. I wasn't getting much grip or movement. Then I stopped caring whether the nubbins got marred, and just used the bare serrated jaws of the pliers. The fixture finally became securely attached to the wall.Oh, a second complaint, but one not easily rectified. This is a fairly heavy fixture and it is hard for a person with only two hands to install it. Before it is attached to the wall one must use two hands to position the wires and connect them with wire nuts. I found a precarious way to suspend the heavy fixture from a nearby beam using little bungee cords, while I connected the wires and stuffed them back into the electrical box.It would be best to have a helper hold the light in the air near the electrical box while the installer deals with all the other things that must be done.
