Used it a few times it has come in handy

Nice USA made product. Smooth action on the pins makes it easy to obtain an accurate profile and there is sufficient friction to hold them in place to transfer the outline to your chosen surface. The only minor issue was that the packaging was poor but it did arrive very quickly and was undamaged.

I needed this to profile some ceiling coving I had to box in and it worked very well helping me to create a perfect cardboard template. My only gripe is that there is no mechanism to lock the pins in place once you have taken the profile.

Does the job, smooth operation

This is a bit temperamental. I used it effectively but the individual needles can bunch up and fall out. Just reinsert them one by one - you can get it back as good as new.

Took a few days to arrive (from USA) but worth the wait. Very smooth action, no misaligned pins.

This is utter rubbish. When you use it the pins bend and move around to the sides diagonally so you cannot get an accurate shape. There are not specific holes for the pins, that are all just shoved in the same gap and pins also fall out when you try to use it as there is nothing holding them in at all. I spent more time trying to straighten out the pins and put them all back in than doing my DIY job! Don’t waste your money!!! I cannot return this now as I had it to long before I needed to use it and it is too late for a refund even though it is not fit for purpose. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Really useful tool. So far it has been great. Pins are stiff enough to be useable but not impossible to move. Feels solid and like it should last a while. Recommended.
