Great idea!!
I finished a live edge head board and mounted with these French cleats. Easy to install and worked great for my board. So happy I didn’t have to go through the headboard with screws and patch. Great way to hang many things especially something heavy or long. Very secured on the wall.

It's highly recommended.
This was amazing for a very large mirror I had to install. As long as you measure right it works great. I used some extra strength wall anchors to aid it.

What’s my hangup? This.
I used these French cleats to hang up wall cabinet. I purchased the 30” size and cut them to size with a hack saw. The hangers came with an assortment of screws and wallboard anchors, as well as a bullet level. I secured one cleat at the top of the cabinet and another toward the bottom to keep it from swinging away from the wall when pulling open the door or drawers. Installation was easy and they hold the cabinet securely about 1/4” off the wall for a clean look.
