The mug looked great when it first arrived, and I put it in the dishwasher since the product description says "these fantastic drinking mugs can go straight in the dishwasher, all day every day, meaning it can save you time, and be more hygienic."Imagine the shock when I took it out of the top rack and discovered the writing "leaked" down the mug, like a long rainy shadow of ink. Since it was upside down in the top rack, this means it is where your lips would go on either side to take a drink.Some of the "ink" wiped off on a paper towel when I tried wiping them, as a test. That will keep me from using the mug at all. Very disappointed! I will try to upload some pictures soon.

I've been an avid reader since early childhood so I decided to make myself a present of this very fitting mug. The 11 oz mug is just the right size for me and I have used it for both hot and cold drinks. The design is very simple and the image appears to be well adhered to the surface, of course, only time and repeated use will tell how well it wears in the long run. I was also quite pleased to discover that the image is on both sides of the mug instead of the usual one side. Washing was simple, and like all of our dishes I did it by hand. Honestly, this mug is too cute to stain up with tea so I will probably limit it to water and light color juices – I might even use it more as a pencil holder like I do with my other book-themed mug. Anyway, this mug is pretty good and would make a great gift for the reader in your life – or even for yourself...
