PlanePal inflates quickly with the pump provided and it's possible to adjust to the different sizes of the gap between seats to make a comfortable flat bed for the baby. I used it in the bulkhead seat and it worked perfectly. It deflates quickly when needs to be deflated before landing with a pull valve.I didn't have any problems with the crew of Virgin Atlantic as they knew already the product. Best to check which airlines approve the use on PlanePal's website and your airline's website to make sure it's allowed onboard. Convenient to carry with the provided bag, it's large as a laptop bag.

Have 2 very similar products which are great if you can acually use them on board. Have been stopped by 2 different airlines due to 'safety concerns' from using onboard. Best to check with your airline and get it in writing that they will allow.

Unable to use this item. It arrived with a small split. Tried to mend as my small grandson was flying home a couple of days later and no time to have it replaced. Very disappointing and item was thrown away.

I own 3 Plane Pals for my kids, so we bought this one for my niece who is traveling with us next week. It arrived within a 1-2 days of ordering (not Prime) as they sent it via special delivery and it arrived this morning (having ordered it 2 days ago). It is hands down the best investment we've ever made for flying. We tried a few other cheaper inflatables before finding Plane Pal (also bought on here) and they were utterly rubbish, firstly they weren't allowed onboard as they aren't approved for use on any airlines and secondly when we sneaked it on it deflated. This is why we spent the extra money on upgrading to Plane Pal, we have used the 3 we have on every single airline known to man and we travel extensively and they have been a LIFESAVER. We are flying to Barbados next week with our 3 pre school children and my sisters family, so my niece will be in a row with 3 others using Plane Pal (!) - we are flying with Lufthansa. THANK YOU PLANE PAL, I am so happy with the product and am excited that my extended family now get to see the benefit of your product. Hopefully all 4 kids sleep and we can have a drink! If you are reading this to make up your mind whether you should spend the money, you won't be disappointed with the product, it is extremely well made (unlike the cheap ones), it is officially approved by the aviation safety experts (we printed this out for the flight crew, available on the company's website) and we have never had an issue with it deflating. GOOD JOB GUYS!

The idea is brilliant and if it actually was sewn together so it would be airtight it would be brilliant. But did one leg of a journey and it started to deflate after a couple of hours. Not good quality.

We recently took our 2 year old on her first plane trip from UK to South Africa. The main flight is some 12 hours long. On both trips we used the Plane Pal. We had been dreading the flight but the plane pal really did help her settle and sleep comfortably. She was excited to rest her feet on it and when sleeping she was able to lay flat which helped. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone flying with small ones.

This was an absolute must have for our flight from London to New Zealand. We definitely could not have done that flight without it! I need to get another one for our next trip back home so both my sons can enjoy it. It’s super easy to inflate and deflate when you need to and the pack it comes in was perfect to travel with. We flew on Singapore Airlines and this product was accepted on that airline. High highly recommend!

Not one to normally write reviews but I felt compelled...My husband and I were dreading our flight with our three kids especially with our 1 year old who is all over the place and cannot sit down. Plane Pal essentially gave us a bed for him (while he slept) and a large surface area for him to play on (while he was awake). It was easy to pack, simple to operate and relatively cheap.Essentially - our kids had a business class experience whilst paying economy prices. For once - our holiday started on the plane.A cannot recommend this product enough and have just bought another two for my niece and nephew.Thank you
