Definitely serves its purpose. However, it is very difficult to properly align the lens on the camera, it was a lot more complicated and took a lot longer than we had expected. And it seemed no matter how hard we tried there was always a black rim visible around the photo. Also, because you are magnifying the image, it is extremely sensitive to any unsteadiness you may have while holding the phone. You almost have to use the tripod which is somewhat flimsy and very light. The phone with the attached lens is quite heavy and almost too much for this flimsy stand. We tried taking photos both during the day and at night and the ones taken during the day came out much better. Our iPhones 7s were having trouble focusing in on the moon at night, and the photos really just came out as a very bright white circle.

Works surprisingly well.
Once you get the hang of how to clip it on the phone, it can take amazing shots from long range. Really exceeded my expectations especially since it was around $20. Just take the time to figure out the sweet spot for your camera and lens to line up and it’s amazing. Tripod mount is recomended because at long range it’s hard to keep the phone steady since the image is very sensitive to movement. The attached photos I did from my bedroom window which actually has a screen. I didn’t use a tripod and snapped a lovely shot of the distant mountains using no iPhone zoom, with iPhone zoom, and then with the lens and no zoom. I’m several miles away from the mountain so hopefully that gives you an idea of what it can do. I’m sure if I got outside instead of through a window and screen and used a tripod it would come out even better.

Good product.. good value for money..One suggestion.. when you seek feedback from customer, please reference the exact product is had of referencing it as "our product". Buyers like me buy a lot of products from Amazon and it's not possible for us to remember every sellers name .. thus addig the product be or picture helps the customer know what is being referenced in the email invite we

its okay, you get what you pay for.... when you zoom in, your phone (camera) has to be perfectly still, otherwise its blurry... yes, anyone who takes photos should know that...

This does not work with an Ottebox on my iphone. Without the case is works fine. Did not see where it only worked on iphones without cases on them.

Not a well enough fit product for phone.
Very unhappy with the fact that this can not be used with a cell phone case or sleeve on it. It opens up the opportunity for you to drop and break you iPhone, taking it out of its protected case or sleeve. And even then It did not properly fit to get a nice picture. Have not used since I purchased it. I don’t recommend it.
