Makes using multiple monitors, devices a breeze
This is the second HP docking station I’ve purchased because I liked the first one that I bought for one of our home offices so much. I had tried a third party product as it was less expensive than the HP, but I didn’t have success getting my HP laptop to recognize it consistently. I just bit the bullet and paid up for this one and it works seamlessly with my HP (and my Lenovo) laptops. As noted, it does NOT come with a power source - so you need one from your laptop. You can buy a power source cord, but they are expensive (you need a higher wattage cord to run everything). This docking station plugs into your laptop and connects all devices (I use 2 monitors, keyboard, mouse). I can easily swap out the laptop.

Stopped working after 2 weeks
Worked really good for a couple of weeks. USB devices started to lose connection, then I noticed it no longer charges my laptop. Seems like it broke in a matter of weeks.

A dual-display hub with minimal setup - just be careful passing voltage to your host device.
A dual-display hub with minimal setup. Just be careful passing voltage through it - it may not pass enough for you laptop to do without it's charger. The specs are on HP's website. I'm using the laptop on it's charger while using this dock - works like a charm.

Great dock especially for the price
This worked on my sons laptop for dual monitors but not on my older one. I don’t think it has to do with the item just my laptop personally didn’t seem to support the feature. But the item did work for other setups in the house. Great device!

Works Well Overall, but HDMI Is Limited to 4K@30Hz
The hub works fine for USB devices, charging, and general connectivity, but the HDMI output is limited. Despite being advertised as “4K,” the HDMI port only supports 4K at 30 Hz, not 60 Hz. When used with a 4K TV as a monitor, this results in reduced refresh rate and a noticeably less smooth experience. If you only need basic HDMI output for presentations or occasional use, it’s acceptable. However, if you plan to use a 4K display as a primary monitor and expect 4K@60Hz, this hub is not suitable. The limitation appears to be the HDMI chipset in the hub, not user settings.
