Easy to setup once reset
This extender repeater works just fine. I received a previously purchased unit so I only had to reset the unit back to factory specs by using a tooth pic to press the reset pin on the side of the unit. After that it was a simple process! I wanted to make sure it would work with my router. Since it did I ordered a 2nd unit to extend the signal to the front of my property for my security cameras! And my detached garage shop. It sees both the 2.4G and the 5G.

Updating review
It is a piece of garbage, signal is good as long as you are inside. Mine can not be detected by my phone just 10 feet way from the front door. with the repeater just being inside behind the front door. Do not waste your money, you can buy the same garbage from Ebay for way less if you want to risk it."Update: After getting ready to return item I noticed set up instructions on the outside of the box are different than the instructions enclosed in the box. I followed the instructions on the box and set up was easy and now works as intended, now let see how long it will last."Followed instructions to connect to router using the WPS button with no luck, tried to 192.168.11.1 no luck with phone or laptop. I am retuning this garbage, unfortunately most of them, if not all of them, are made in China, which means most of them, are garbage for the most part.Follow up, I returned the first repeater and Amazon send me a new one which I was able to setup according to instructions but when I connect my phone WIFI it will ask me for the password and it always tells me is the wrong password, which is the password used on the initial setup used to connect the repeater to my modem. This is garbage I am sending it back and asking for my money back.

The strongest wifi extender on the market.
This is the only wifi extender I have found to cover 150 ft. My house is on a half acre. My Garage is 75 - 80 ft from house my alarm system would not cover my garage until I purchased this extender/repeater now it works fine. My alarm company wanted me to spend 300.00-500.00 dollars more to cover my garage. This extender is very powerful. Thank you.

It works. Kinda.
Connection is spotty if you’re going through an exterior wall. I’m literally 15’ from the unit going through the exterior wall to outside and connection comes and goes. Return window is closed and can’t return. Works ok through interior walls but for my application, it’s wasted money…

It sometimes works, when it feels like it.
I connected one to my home network and it worked great for a few weeks, but then it lost the signal and after resetting it and reconnecting it, it would connect but it still wouldn't allow internet access. Directly connecting to router worked fine so I knew it was this repeater that was failing. I can't recommend this to anyone else because of its inadequate reliability.

Great while it works
So I've bought two of these within the past year. The first one only lasted 3 months before I had to replace it. The connections when they work are great and I have no problem. But after a few months of use, you start to see connection drops. I also noticed the units were overheating each time that problems started happening.
