Does it work well with motorcycle?

I have no idea but i do know that it works well on wheelchairs and walkers.

What are the black strips for that come with it?

Hi, The black strip is anti-slip pad, which is used to increase friction. The antiskid pad just need to put it into the clamp and install the holder in the desired place. And if the clamp is stable enough for your bottle, you can use cup holder without the antiskid pad.

Will this work for a camping chair?

Should work on anything with a round rod type area like handle bars or if the camping chair has round arm rests or frame. I attached mine to my golf pull cart handle and it works real well.

Can the clamp be left in place, and the cupholder be easily removed/installed?

Yes, the cup holder can slide off while the clamp remains in place.
