Good p. Bought this for my 10 yr old son. The wood is very soft and easy to carve. The knife slide trough it like butter. Very good

Inconsistant wood sizing
Great quality wood for whittling, have had great success with it but the measurements are inconsistent in the pieces of wood. Some were a quarter inch small

GOOD FOR WHITTLING/CARVING!
The basswood 7 piece kit is great you can see some of my work in my posted photo the smaller pieces are softer the larger piece is very compact kind of tough with smaller carving tools. OVERALL GOOOD STUFF

Woods grade?
The materials look good and I appreciate the timely delivery. Just as I am initially starting with this the wood seems pretty hard for basswood. I donโt think my sharp is sharp; yes I did sharpen it; but itโs very hard for me to cut into the wood. Wondering has this wood been standing around? Trying to keep it truthful.
