I'm not sure if its before delivery ,or maybe it bad craftsmanship ,but the pole has a split in it when it arrived.

Too expensive for what it is, but the only 6 foot walking stick around. Everything else? 64 inches.

I tried sticks of 60" (too short for a full stretch) and 84" (too long for my 8' ceiling), both with 1 1/4" diameters. This is the only 72" stick I found. The 1" diameter makes for an easier grip.

So, previously I had said 'Can't really say how good a staff/exercise stick this is as it snapped off the last 8 inches in transit. Don't try anything too fancy, like holding it still or leaning it in a corner'The staff is relatively fine, Amazon snapped it on delivery, but as I was intending to practice more extreme maneuvers with it, I.E. Monkey Stick type dumbassery, and I don't think I'll be doing that now if being jostled in the back of a truck and grabbed wrong will snap the pole so cleanly and close to one end.I have trimmed the stick down past the breakage and there are no further splits. It wasn't perfectly straight to begin with, but well enough that it swings without warbling and still feels solid but flexible after the delivery described above.Just, don't go defending a temple with it
