I just started golf lessons and was looking for a solution to practice when unable to get to a golf range. My solution was to get some nerf-style golf balls and hit them in my small yard. The best open space for me to use has a lot of mulch that I didn't want to be digging up so i searched for a fake grass mat. When this came up, it looked like a good solution. Not only as this served as a launch pad for practicing hitting the ball but as I get better, the directional guides and feedback mechanism are helping as well. I would note that the stakes to hold that mat in place are a little flimsy so if you're working on a very hard ground, it may be a little difficult but it worked well for me.

I like how this mat has the feedback path where you can see exactly how you swing. So far the green hasn't rubbed off on my clubs. I tried this outside on short grass and it didn't move around too much which was great. I only have hard floors so I can't try it inside but I expect it'd work just as well on short carpet like it did outside.
