The Firefighter Exam Prep has been a life saver. I was so nervous as I began to prepare for the Firefighter Exam and felt like I didn't have enough information to go into it fully prepared. Then a friend recommended this exam prep and I was so relieved! It has immensely helped in my preparation for the exam as well as my understanding of how to prepare for this career overall. Wasn’t what I expected

It's important to note that this is a study prep book with general advice and example questions. This does not contain enough information to call it study material, and should be taken as a single practice test (other books may offer 5 practice tests for the same $20). Additionally, I'm worried about fact-checking. There are some inconsistencies in the questions and answer key, as attached (e.g., the answer key says 75 is correct, but both A and C are 75... Which are both incorrect). Another question doesn't lead to it's answer choices.I appreciate the sections regarding mindset and mental preparation, but many of the questions can be reworked.

The advice on test-taking strategies make sense but I would not rely on their practice tests. Some of the answers from the answer key are wrong. I advice going with a different book/resource.

I have never been a good tester, and the initial exam to become a Firefighter almost stopped me from pursuing this career. It wasn't until I stumbled upon this Firefighter Exam Prep that I felt like I had the right support and knowledge to go into the test as prepared as possible. Not only is it extremely well organized and easy to navigate, it is also so detailed that it answered every question I had. I cannot recommend this exam prep enough, go get it now!

This exam prep book is so helpful. It really details what else to expect beyond the physical ability test. There is observation, memory, situational judgement, mechanical, verbal, and deductive reasoning, math, and reading. There are sample questions, test prep tips, and even the other things that are required in some departments like EMT certification. Very helpful book, definitely recommend!
