Awesome knife make cutting meat commercially a breeze. Other cutters may make fun of the way it looks only till they use it, then they want one too. It does look like a field knife but when I cut 75 chuck roasts in 1.5 half they can kiss my bum. The grip and thumb placement on knife helps alleviate hand soreness from repetition. Good knife keeps an edge well

UPDATE Decided to try their Bullnose Butcher instead. A beautiful thing. So thrilled I returned the heavy Cutluxe. The weight on this knife is indicated as 1.74 pounds. I had a sneaky suspicion that must include the case box and cute useless brooch that comes with Dal items. I was right. It's as light as a feather. Thank goodness because my weak wrists and small paws can't take heavy anything. I bought it for watermelon cutting. It's definitely better suited for meat slicing but I'll use it none the less. Handle very comfortable just not attractive enough. Dull plastic. I wd hv preferred something prettier.

My son is a meat cutter at one of our regional grocery stores Safeway. Got this as part of his first set. He REALLY likes them. It's a quality knife for cheaper than a lot of commercial knives. This does have certification by the restaurant industry I just can't recall what it is.

I bought a set of Henkels kitchen knives a while ago. I thought that they were supposed to be good quality. Unfortunately they just weren't sharp enough. I was hesitant to purchase another one that cannot cut. I started on a carnivore style diet and saw a video using a breaking/butcher knife to buy larger cuts of meat and cut them down your self. After reading reviews I decided on this one. I have been amazed at how much easier it is to cut through meat. After having success with this knife I went and purchased a chefs knife from this same brand. Both have performed beyond expectations.

We bought these as gifts for different recipients, one for kitchen use for large rib roast break-down etc, and one for hunting. I'm jealous and may need to add another to my kitchen rack. This is an impressive knife, great grip, sturdy blade without being bulky. I have a number of other Dalstrong Gladiator series in the kitchen and this blade is worthy of the Dalstrong reputation and experience.

I use this knife for trimming and slicing meats and it has been great so far. I like the finish and it holds its edge well. Eventually, I will have to resharpen it, but for now, it does well.
