Delicious shades
Pleasant vegetable based semi-permanent hair dye. Easy to apply. Beautiful shade with depth & shine. Shade can vary depending how long it is left on the hair. Conditions the hair, so can be applied frequently without fear of damage. Does ‘bleed’ when hair is washed for the first week after application, so avoid white towels! Have used this product for a decade in various colours & it never disappoints. Superior to most other semi-permanent products.

Love this dye
I have been using Rubine for 3 years now (and dying my hair unnatural colours for 28 cough*) and it’s the best one I’ve used (and I’ve used a lot!) , doesn’t dry the hair out, doesn’t stain the bath after rinsing and if you wash your hair once a week it lasts for ages, I will say that the photo shows it on bleached hair, the picture for the colour shows a deep purple colour but it isn’t, it is luminous pink! Photo shows it freshly died on faded bleached hair, it fades to a nice light pink unlike most that make you look like a fruit salad sweet where they fade to yellow, so even when it’s washed out it still looks nice, somethings I think it get more compliments when it need redoing that when it’s freshly done! I have thick shoulder length hair and the little pot is enough for my whole head, it goes so so far! If you’re hesitant, just go for it! It’s only hair, I’ve also used the white too that works so well on bleached hair. Just a great dye all round, never use anything else now.

Great colour. Bad colour bleeding!
I used Rubine mixed with a good dollop of Rose Red. My hair is light brown with very light blonde natural streaks and I have bleach on my lengths. I like Directions and Crazy Color for fun colour changes. I find Directions less runny, so chose it this time for a messy red colour change! Easy to apply. I do it on damp hair with gloves, like applying a thorough conditioning mask, just because I hate messing about with brushes etc. I combed it through and piled on top my head and out a shower cap on. Left for about half an hour. I got a lovely shiny rich burgundy on the light brown parts and bright, deep fuchsia on my bleached lengths and lighter bits. HOWEVER, the water NEVER ran remotely clear and the colour was coming off on everything...clothes, bedding, face. Despite liking the colour I washed it about 8 times over a few days with dandruff shampoo to try and get the excess leaking colour off (maybe used too much colour? 🤷🏽♀️). The darker parts have faded a fair bit, and the excess dye on my scalp has gone, the ends remain vibrant fuchsia. The transfer of colour has stopped a bit, but I still get some staining on clothes and bedding and the water is bright pink when I wash my hair. So, the colour and shine is gorgeous. I got a nice even result (I knew my bleached ends would be mega bright of course) However, I could only whole heartedly recommend if you never a) ☔ get caught in the rain b) ⛹️♀️work up a sweat c) 🏊♀️ swim d) like nice bedding. At the moment I have to carefully choose my clothing and activities! It's worth saying that most of this excess colour is probably coming from my bleached lengths as it's more porous of course, and if your hair is all previoisly undyed it probably won't be quite so dramatic. The dye does come off fairly well from most things btw, eventually, but don't risk your best white anything for goodness sake!! If you don't go into the great outdoors/swim and never intend on getting sweaty, then no problem! 😉 Please tap "Helpful" ⬇️ if my review has been useful or interesting. Thank you! 🙂 Makes me feel I'm not completely talking to myself here 😂 All my reviews are genuine and I always update them if I have any issues further down the line with the item. Consumer power! 💪How do we know if something's any good unless genuine people leave reviews?

Amazing!
I used this products to dip dye my fairly dark brown hair, something I have wanted to do for ages. I was debating for a long time as to whether I should bleach the tips before applying this colour and after reading all the previous reviews that said it wouldn't work as well on unbleached hair I decided to use Jerome Russell Bblonde Hair Lightener (which was also really effective). Firstly I brushed all of my dry hair, fashioned a middle parting and separated all of my hair into 16 sections. Next I tied little hairbands about 15cm from the end of my hair to act as a guideline. After following the instructions on the packet, I left the bleach on for about an hour, washed it all out and used the conditioning shampoo provided and brushed the ends again. Whilst still fairly wet I applied La Riche Directions to the bleached parts and left for around 45 minutes. Finally I washed this out until the water was nearly clear and then left my hair to dry naturally. The results were INCREDIBLE. Not only is the colour a wonderfully bright, almost electric blue with a hint of green, the ends of my hair feel so nourished and not dry at all! So far it hasn't left blue anywhere too which is a bonus. I won't even mind when it fades because I can tell already from the less dyed parts that it's still going to be a lush teal colour. I would say that those on a bit of a tight budget or actually anyone in general should go for this product as I am very satisfied with it! I'll upload a picture of the results too. Hope this helped! :)

Finally. White blonde hair after 31 years!!
This stuff is awesome. I've bleached my naturally blonde hair for the last 31 years trying (& always failing!) to achieve a white blonde. I've purchased every blue/violet shampoo available & although they do work well in reducing/eliminating the yellow brassy tones, I've never managed to achieve platinum perfection. I bought this after being impressed with the results my daughter had with the turqoise one, but when it came & I opened it I was incredibly disappointed. It's a pale violet colour, no discernable scent & a wierd (not unpleasant) slimy texture. I held out no hope of it doing anything at all to be honest. Anyway, bleached roots, then shampoo'd hair & as per instructions applied this for 15 minutes. Rinsed hair, conditioned it, then left it to air dry naturally. I'm honestly in total shock, I now have stunning, white blonde/platinum hair!! I'm truly amazed at how brilliant it is, if you saw it in the tub you just wouldn't believe it could do anything at all, let alone create the results it has. I've still got half the tub left too (even though I have waist length hair!) so I'll get 2 goes out of it. A little seems to go a long way. I think in future I'll condition my hair before I use it though, as because my hair is like straw before conditioning it was really hard to spread it evenly throughout my hair (it felt saturated) but I didn't do a completely even job as I've got a couple of patches where I clearly didn't put enough and/or put too much. My own fault though, so not complaining, just hopefully giving a helpful tip. I didn't condition as I thought it might affect the efficacy of the product, but having used it now & seeing how good it is, I think I could/should have conditioned to ensure even coverage. Cannot recommend this enough.

Still meh
I remember when this first came out. It was meh then, and it's still meh. Sure it goes on well enough, it smells nice enough and seems to do the job as it's setting. But the moment you rinse your hair, it covers every surface in your bathroom with that colour. It's stained the tiles, it's stained the towels, .. everything but my hair. Top tip, spray cleaner on the surfaces before rinsing. Rinse until the water runs clear? No chance, it never runs clear. Black dye, ran into a mauve (black is made of many colours). And that's the first time rinsing it after application, even if you don't shampoo your hair and just wet and condition it, you the water is coloured every time. Touching your dry hair, shouldn't transfer colour on to your skin. The first time you shampoo your hair, it's nearly all gone. My pillows are covered in dye. My towels are covered in dye. My hair isn't. It doesn't last the number of washes that typical semi-permanent dyes do, it's good on the day and after that depends on how badly you bleached your hair. I used the black dye 10 days ago, I only shampooed once after 8 days. It's practically washed out completely. The only plus side is that it bled down into the other colour and is now a funky blue/purple (it was green). You get what you pay for. I've tried a few non-permanent brands and the best one so far is the ArticFox brand, they don't do a black though on here, which is why I gave Directions one last punt. If your professional salon uses these, walk out of that salon. The very least they should be using Elumen!

Genial!!!

Vibrant colour awesome price.
Beautiful colour, starting to fade a bit 7 days after application, bleeding on hands wasn't too bad. Applied to light brown hair ( at roots) I have had my hair green for about a year. This product is very similar to manic panic and you can't beat the price. 88ml almost covered my entire medium length thick head of hair.
