Perfect for little ones - no paint included!
OK, so the pictures on the box are a little misleading, but I was very happy with the size and quality of these little bug hotels. My girls have been learning about the environment and mini beasts so these were perfect. I already had some Posca paint pens so the girls used these to decorate the hotels. (I sealed them with some yacht varnish afterwards to help protect them.) We'll be foraging for some sticks, moss etc to fill and then they'll be going out into the garden. Quite sturdy little houses and perfect for our needs without being too expensive. 👍🏻

Great for kids
I bought this when the Grandchildren were over for family get together. They enjoyed colouring , assembling and looking at kit. It was also a great way to introduce them to bugs, beetles etc. I also ordered some secondhand books about bugs for them to look at and see what tiny things we have around us.

Protection from the elements
I'm hoping the spiders in the sheltered outdoor porch area will prefer these to the indoors! The scattered terracotta pots are being used - but I sensed they wanted something resembling a home 😀

My grandchildren loved painting the bug house, it will go out in the garden when the weather gets a bit warmer.

Was a little disappointed that these didn't come with any paint to decorate them, you have to buy this separately
