No Stinky Cat Food Smell + Good For Kitty Health
We've tried the chicken and now the rabbit... I think my cat preferred the chicken because I feed her wet food with chicken as well so she's used to it. But with the rabbit, there was basically no smell at all which I love. The ingredients are good, the packaging is easy to store, and there haven't been any noticeable digestion issues.

For picky eaters
Both of my cats loved it and they're picky eaters!

Love it!
I've been feeding my two cats a variety of the Vitals freeze dried foods. It isn't their primary diet and I serve them each 1/2 a patty with their dry food (all rehydrated with water or bone broth/goats milk). They both love the rabbit and duck as they have sensitivities to beef/salmon/pork. It definitely is pricey, but if used in addition to your cats' diet it isn't so bad. The 3.75 oz bag will last my two cats about a month since I rotate their proteins so they don't get the one flavor every day. We also really love the toppers/treats from this brand and its all cheaper on Amazon compared to your local pet store.

You really should reconstitute these
My cat LOVES these, and he is gorgeous and healthy and FULL of energy eating them, but I HIGHLY advise reconstituting these with liquid for two reasons:- Breaking them apart often leads to me finding sizable bones. Usually it's just one or two per patty, but some batches there have been eight or more per patty! However, he has never had any issues from eating these long before I realized they often have bones in them, for whatever that's worth.- I have a male cat who will NOT drink water to make up for how dry these are, even though he has two nice fountains. This resulted in some serious vet bills because he started passing blood clots in his urethra and getting clogged up. Male cats can be prone to this problem and it can literally kill them. What I do is make a package of chicken thighs (or legs or wings) in the Instant Pot with the minimal amount of water (about a cup) for about 45 minutes. The broth from that should gel completely when cooled in the fridge. For dinner my cat gets some cooked chicken, plus I take five big spoonfuls of the broth and mix it with a crumbled up patty. If you don't want to give your cat ANY cooked meat, then just eat the chicken yourself and use the broth for your cat.On this diet my cat is very energetic, playful, intelligent, and has no anxiety. His coat is SUPER shiny, everyone comments on it.

Large bone fragments that could kill your pet.
I hadn’t read other people’s reviews and I gave my cats a turkey patty and didn’t crumple it up completely into crumbs before serving with water. Now I just gave another patty and found big and tiny pieces of bone that almost cut my finger. I see other reviews that have several bone pieces. This is unsafe & our pets can die from this! Why is this product so highly rated? I don’t want my cats to have any issues or die from this.

Pricey but good
Man it’s expensive but man my cat loves this stuff! Great option for diabetic cats. After having him on this (and the chicken one cause feeding exclusively the rabbit is too expensive for me) for a couple months along with twice daily insulin shots, we went back to the vet for a day of blood sugar monitoring. Vet said his blood sugar was actually low! And that he may become pre-diabetic and be one of those lucky cats. You can feed this in a couple different ways. You can crumble up the patties and rehydrate with warm water. It will come out to a slightly chunky wet food consistency, so if your cat only likes pates this may not be good. My cat is extremely picky when it comes to wet food and he doesn’t like chunky wet food. So, the second option and what I do, is I crumble up a patty and let him eat it dry. I have to make SURE he has access to water and encourage him to get more moisture, but it works for us. I just have 32 oz cups in various places around our house becomause he prefers to drink from cups lol.Because it’s dry, it sticks to his tongue when he licks and therefore he feels like he can “lick it up” even though it’s not a wet food. He doesn’t like to work very hard for his food.Rabbit is a great protein option for cats with various food allergies as it’s less common to have an allergy to, and this product is just rabbit. So if your cat has, say a sweet potato or a lentil allergy, this food circumvents that. Please please please wash hands after handling it.
