Good Product
Installation is straight forward and quick. Runs quietly and does a good job at circulating the air.

My Got-to bathroom extractor
This is my go-to bathroom extractor of choice.Low profile, and very quiet (definitely NOT silent however) can come with a pull chord but the one i use is the Humidistat version which you can set to a certain humidity that, when reached, triggers it to turn on.Another setting also can be set (by removing the cover) defining how long the fan stays on after the humidity has been reduced.Maybe there are better fans out there but as a creature of habit i have gone back to what i know.others a certainly cheaper but i like the design and low profile of this one.These last about 5 years before they start getting noisier.:)

Quiet fan but watch the pull cord
Pull cord on these fans can be troublesome make sure t works correctly before fitting the fan check the movement of the switch with the pull cord !Other than that it works well and is quiet

Does not do as it says!
Unfortunately we bought this product in January ready to be fitted when bathroom was finished. This was fitted only last week. Once fitted it would not turn off our electrician checked the wiring but it still would not turn off. The pulley cord had a life of its own and only worked when it wanted to. Eventually we had to disconnect it. Eventually we took it out completely as it was not worth the money or was not the quality that we thought it would be. We chose expel air as we expected this to work well and be of good quality. It was neither. Very disappointed.

Great value
Only hope it’s going to be strong enough extraction wise during the winter.

Seems a decent fan.
Good quiet fan, good value for money, very quiet so far. It came quickly. The only slight problem was that someone had pushed the smaller end of the telescopic ducting onto the fan, when it should be the larger end, and it was very awkward to remove, so dont know what that was all about.

Only silent if silent mode enabled
Out of the box, this fan is loud. You have to enable the silent mode jumper switch on the circuit board. The humidistat is very sensitive, even when turned to it's lowest setting (e.g. sometimes just walking into our bathroom sets off the fan!) This is the second DX100 I've fitted in 3 years. The motor in the first one failed after 2 years.
