Koh I noor Mondeluz Aquarell Colouring Pencil - Light Blue

The name conjures up a nondescript shade you might find in a standard pack of basic colours, and I nearly passed it by.Currently part of the ‘Amazon Add-On Programme’, offering that great opportunity to 'try it & see’; I made it my 5th shade of blue from this range, to date.This ‘LIGHT BLUE’ is almost a paler shade of AZURE, to my eye, and I love it so much I will be looking out for the boxed dozen coming up on offer!♦ KOH-I-NOOR HARDTMUTH♦ MONDELUZ AQUARELLE COLOUR PENCIL♦ 3720/18: LIGHT BLUESINGLE PENCILIt came well packed in a strong cardboard outer, well lined with paper and is presented in a plastic-type sheath with the product code sticker on that rather than the pencil, so no annoying over-sticky residue that is so hard to get off.The elegant, hexagonal-barrelled pencil is around 17.5 cm in length and comes ready to use, with a lovely point.The barrel is close to the colour shade for the best part with a BLACK flash, before a 1.5 cm, matte gold-coloured dipped, rounded end.In shiny gold-coloured lettering on one side is:★ ‘KOH-I-NOOR ~ HARDTMUTH ~ MONDELUZ ~ PAINTBRUSH EMBLEM ~ 3720/18’The last number is the colour code - the name of the colour is not on the pencil.On another side is more subdued barcode detailing.In my experience, the core is lovely & soft and a layer of the shade is achieved without too much pressure if using as a regular colouring pencil albeit with a little residue, depending on the texture of the paper.Online tutorials show the versatility of this type of pencil, especially as a watercolour.The pencil sharpens up well with  a quality sharpener  and as the core is soft it does need a fair bit, but you don’t lose half the pencil in the process, in my experience.ooOooManufacturer Detail:‘MANUFACTURED in the CZECH REPUBLIC:Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth was founded by Joseph Hardtmuth in 1790.Koh-I-Noor Mondeluz Artists Water Soluble Coloured pencils are premium artist quality water soluble coloured pencils ideal for drawing, illustration, sketching, arts, graphics, colouring, etc.With Koh-I-Noor Mondeluz Artists water soluble coloured pencils you have the best tools to bring your artistic vision to life.
