Is there a way to mount this through my desk instead of clamped?

Existing bracket, new bolt, washers, nuts, drill, hacksaw. $2 in parts, $5 in aggravation.

I need a light source with diffused lighting. i don't wanna be able to see individual bulbs or leds, i want them to diffused. how is this one?

This one is pretty good. You can see them if you look directly at it from underneath but the light is really well done in terms of eveness across the surface of whatever sesk you put it on even though there are 3 individual light bars. See video, i try to capture as best i can. I looked a long time and tried different bar lights and this was perfect for my needs. It can be moved in different configurations but the lights are not seen directly on my desk. It does an excellent job with even lighting regardless of how i config it.

For those with a Samsung G9, have you noticed any washout on the screen from the light? If so, does placement alleviate the washout?

While I do not have a G9 I am using a 35” monitor sitting on a collapsible stand up desk. The height and positioning was a concern especially with my web cam sitting on top of Monitor. There are multiple light frequencies you can chose from and I tend to use the more natural freq which on my Viewsonic monitor it doesn’t bother anyway. Not sure if it answers your question or not however I will say that wash out has not affected me so far.
