Beautiful illustrations, great coloring activity book.
The media could not be loaded. Beautiful illustrations, great coloring activity book. I work as a receptionist and sometimes the hours are long and boring, so this is a really fun and rewarding past time. I usually just take these and in between down times, just put in my AirPods and just color away. Usually i can finish around 1-2 per day. From the moment you open the pages, you are instantly transported into a magical world of the past. “Whimsical Gardens: 50 exotic flowers in Art Nouveau” contains so many stunning illustrations that it’s hard to believe that this art style has been brought back into our modern world. Each of these flowers almost look like Tiffany’s lamp with their almost stained glass look and swirling details. These illustrations are truly in the Art Nouveau style and showcase a lot of intricate details, swirling organic line work and flowing motifs. Even though it looks complex, it’s actually really easy to color in ( i used a lot of color pencils) as the minimal grayscale helps make your work pop out instantly. Overall, highly recommend.

beautiful book with vintage feel
This is just what I was looking for and it did not disappoint. Beautiful, good quality and stayed true to the Nouveau style. It says "grayscale", but it was a clear and true coloring book. I don't care for the ones that have too much gray since I use colored pencils and not pens. The paper feels good quality to me, but since I don't use pens I can't speak to bleeding through

Horrible paper!
Love the art but the paper will not take layering from Caran D’Ache Luminence pencils. Also paper is too thin for Derwent Inktense pencils. Would gladly pay twice the price for decent paper.

Lovely illustrations!
I never buy grayscale coloring books, because I like to do my own shading. So why did I get this book? I couldn't resist the illustrations. The grayscale isn't overwhelming - it isn't much different than a non-grayscale book. The ONLY thing I would change is to make the paper a better quality. After struggling with my wax-based colored pencils - I decided to try my Castle Arts GOLD oil-based set. What a difference! I was able to accomplish more layers with those. Harder leads just didn't allow for the layering and shading these pictures needed. However, my wax based pencils (Crayola, Shuttle Arts & Prismacolor) still did a decent job. This is a lovely book, especially if you like art nouveau/deco. I would buy it again, and plan to buy at least one other of this artist's books.

Beautifully drawn flowers
The artwork in this coloring book is exquisite. Each one sided page is a different flower, drawn in beautiful settings, with the name of the flower printed on the left hand page, making it easy to look up the flower so you can color it realistically. I like this artist and will be looking for her other coloring books.

Just What I Need!
I am retired and have been colouring now for a few years. This adult colouring book is without a doubt the best book ever. I truly love it and will enjoy many hours of creativity. Thank you

AI Generated
Again, I reviewed another book by this "artist", and though the main part of the image is ok (where not pixelated), the images are obviously AI generated. There are a lot of artifacts in the corners, and in some places, the flowers become part of the background. Which is not what I expected when the back page makes a big deal of "as an artist, there is no greater reward than seeing my work come to life."Generating prompts does not count as 'art'.
