Lightweight and cooling. I hate my hair on my neck when I'm working in the garden. This hat is perfect. It keeps you dry if it rains. Very well made. It sits firmly on the head, and doesn't blow off in the wind. Definitely recommend this!

This worked exactly as I needed it to. I brought it kayaking with me where I started the day wearing a ball cap. After a while I realized I needed more sun protection and switched to this. My ponytail went through with zero issue, and I was able to tighten down the back with the cinch strap. I had excellent coverage all the way around and the chin strap was easy to tighten down when the wind picked up. My only issue was that the back of the hat was rubbing against the back of my life jacket a bit due to the life jacket pushing up in the back, so I flipped up the back of the hat and the problem was solved. This hat is lightweight and comfortable (not too tight) and provided excellent sun protection. It was also breathable and I did not end up with a sweaty head after wearing it. It may not be the most fashionable thing to wear, but anyone looking at these likely already knows that and would rather have the sun protection. I made the mistake of not wearing it the week prior and ended up with a sunburned and peeling face. For anyone spending a significant amount of time in the sun, just do yourself a favor and get one of these. I can't speak to how long these will hold up as I have only worn it once, but it feels like it will hold up well. I think I paid about $7-8 for this, so it is well worth the price.

I found out two years ago that I am allergic to the sun. Unfortunately for me I LOVE the sun. I am always out in the garden, floating in the pool or reading in the hammock. I’m also bilaterally implanted with Cochlear implants and have hearing processors that sit on the outside of both ears, along with glasses, making it so most hats do not fit correctly or comfortably. For two years I have struggled to find a hat who’s brim will keep my face protected, the back of my neck protected and sit comfortably on my head . This hat does all that plus added bonus of the pony tail opening! As you can see I have long hair and this is very convenient. The hat is breathable making it not too hot yet is thick and built well the shape isn’t terrible like May bucket style hats and was not deformed after shipping making the fold ability good for travel. The under chin strap as well as pony slot are both adjustable. I am very pleased with this purchase and will likely buy a few more colors!

Cute hat and great idea but it runs a tad small. Either that or my head run a bit big. Regardless, it feels like it's made well. As well as having a big head, I'm also Irish so the sun and I aren't friends, but this has a nice brim which stays flared out. I've had some where the brim says but this feels like that won't happen. It seems stiff enough. The top part is soft, though. I think I wear a 7 in hats, for reference.

This is a very nice “sun” hat Your head doesn’t get hot and it’s breathable. It’s not too thick and stays in place even though I don’t use the “chin” strap. It protects your face yet it doesn’t hinder your reading ability . I definitely recommend this for all outside and sunny functions

I have been wearing this hat for years. This is My 3rd one. Great for hiking. Very light on the head. Keeps sun at bay. I would recommend this for anyone. Good investment

Love the color and fit!

Pros: nice wide brim that seems like it would do well with keeping the sun off. Seems breathable. The ponytail hole is in a good location. Come: The hat is just ok quality. The fabric seems cheap and the cord tightener thing seems like it might not last. The way it was folded in the package seems like the crease in the brim would be very difficult to smooth out giving it a little bit of a funny look. I’d probably keep them just to not have to find something else, but I am going to return them though because they don’t fit my head well. The top part is a bit too deep and/or the band is a bit too tight. It sits down around my ears and squeezes in an uncomfortable way and it was already as loose as it goes. If it could either have been not as deep or if the band could have loosened a bit more, it would have been fine. Oh well… guess I’m searching again…
