Doesn't work at all
I bought one from a charity shop for £4 rather than from here, but I thought it worth adding my own experience just to add further weight to the other reviews. We were initially impressed by the graph on the side of the box indicating its airflow capability compared to other pumps, and on playing with it in the shop discretely could tell that indeed air did come through the tube. However, get it home and try to use it properly and you see that the airflow isn't actually any more than what comes out of your lungs, it makes a total racket, and when you plug it in to your airbed you find all the air is escaping out of all the leaky gaps in the construction and barely any is actually getting into the bed.So shame on Amazon for still listing it, shame on the manufacturer for not having withdrawn it, and shame on trading standards for not having shut the manufacturer down; in my case, at least I made a donation to the RSPCA, people who still buy it here even after reading these reviews won't even have that.

Worked OK while it lasted
It worked well for inflating air beds and children's swimming pools. However, after a few years of very little usage (used maybe 10 or 20 times altogether) the twisted rubber strap inside the pump snapped, rendering the whole thing completely useless. I would buy an electric pump or a simple foot pump instead - cheaper and more robust.

Excellent a green product that really works
This a brilliant product it really works blowing up and defalting childrens inflatables. Reasonably small so can fit in to suitcase for holidays. It doesn't need electricity so if very eco friendly. It is noisey but this is a small price to pay for all those parents who have sat for endless hours at the start of a holiday blowing up inflatables and nearly passing out. Also the kids can work it for themselves my 5 year old has had great fun blowing up all her inflatables.

Load of rubbish
The second time I used this the cord failed to retract into the body rendering the pump useless. It also made a mess as the coating on the cord came off allover my tent. Go for one that uses a 12V supply for a better outcome.

Don't believe the hype
I have used this product on only three occasions. Each time to inflate a double camping air mattress. The first time appeared to be ok but very noisy. Not the kind of thing you want to start using later in the evening on a campsite. On the second time I encountered a few problems. One of which was that the pull cord would not fully retract into the unit, leaving me a small distance in which to pull aforementioned cord. Also, it seemed to take longer than the first time to blow the mattress up. My wife and I have just returned from a weekend away and this piece of carp (sic is now lying in the dustbin. After over an hour of trying to inflate our mattress (taking it in turns)and ending up with the cord fully extended and not retracting at all, we gave up with still a long way to go. With luck however, a couple came to our rescue and let me borrow their inflator. The type that works from a cigarette lighter in the car. Before ditching this, I took it apart and was appalled at the poor build quality that has gone into this. The cord recoil is just a rubber strap that twists on itself. What a joke.

not for kite inflatables!
great product... as long as you don't expect it to inflate Lei's for kitesurfing. i bought the product due to the cyclaire site recommending it for kite inflation. this product can move air quickly, but not against a gradient. it is neither a sealed unit or in possession of a non-back flow valve...both essential to push air to 9psi, that required for a LEI. it will inflate a kite half way but no more... then the air just comes back out through the casing. imagine trying to blow up a balloon with holes in your cheeks... nough said.handy for airbeds.. not so for a kite enthusiast.i too contacted cyclaire to discuss their miss-selling... no reply.

Completely Disappointed
The service from the supplier was quick and efficient. The product is anything but that. I bought it because it is compact and the advetising blurb made it sound really efficient at inflating airbeds. The Cyclaire Inflator takes absolutely ages to inflate a simple single airbed and it doesn't do that properly. Once the air pressure in the bed builds up the Cyclaire cannot push any more air into the bed and you end up with an under-inflated bed. I had to borrow a friends pump to finish off pumping up the bed so it was firm enough to sleep on. Before the manufacturer claims I was using the wrong nozzle attachment or not using it correctly, I already ensured I was.The Cyclaire Inflator is a complete waste of money and does not do what it claims on the box. I will be trying to get my money back because it is useless and uses false advertising claims to sell the product, making it sound much better than it is. The only thing it is good at is generating a lot of noise as you try to use it.

poor
I emailed the supplier (with no reply)to say that it leaks and a kid's toy works better - avoid it.
