Best wireless charging case for the money - minor quality issues
- The look and feel of the case is great. The case is slim but appears to provide good protection. I would prefer a little more of a bezel on the the front to protect the face, but I feel good than anything short of a flush face down drop would be survivable.- So far the wireless charging seems to work fairly well with most of my chargers. I have one cradle style charger where the charging coil in the case doesn't seem to line up perfectly with the one in the charging cradle, its close enough to charge but i've learned I need to slide the phone into the cradle so that the cradle detects the phone, and starts charging. Once charging starts everything works fine. I haven't noticed the phone getting especially hot, or at least not any more so than my Samsung S8+ with its native wireless charging. Charging speed seems to be reasonable as well.- As other reviewers have noted, the lighting plug at the bottom is very stiff to slide in or out of the phone. Inserting is no problem, but getting the lighting plug out can be challenging. I would recommend using a screwdriver or some other tool to remove the device so that you can remove the plug with more control. The plug looks to be retained by two little plastic nubs, and if those nubs break off the plug will likely slide right out. That being said, from appearances, even if the plug broke off, the design appears as though the plug should still be useable, so long as you dont remove it. You just wont be able to retain it on the case itself.- As at least one other reviewer mentioned, the case can make it a little difficult to insert some lightning cables without some finagling. The amount of extra tolerance I've found I require is less than a millimeter an I should be able to shave off about that much with a hobby knife to make things much easier.- I tried the Nilikin case as well, overall despite its shortcomings I like this Youstoo case much better. The protection from the youstoo case which is really the cases primary purpose is vastly superior to the nilikin. There are some quality issues, but this appear to be surmountable, and all relate mainly to the lighting plug. If you anticipate only occasionally needing to actually use a lighting cable, these issues should present no problem at all.

Fits perfectly***Charges perfectly***Feels good in hand
Read reviews carefully and still this case exceeds my expectations. It is low-profile which is what I wanted, and fixes my disappointment in my new iphone lacking wireless charging. Best of all, it started to charge as soon as I placed it on my charger that I still have (2 of) from my previous phone, a Samsung S5 with a broken charging port. FWIW the pads I have are "Wireless Charger RAVPower Mini Qi Wireless Charging Pad for Nexus 5 6 7, Samsung Galaxy S7 S6 S5, Note 5, LG Optimus, Nokia Lumia and more". They are small pads that are not super fast, but not that slow either, I keep one in the house and one in the car. When charging in my new case, the phone battery bar on the home screen does indicate charging by going white to green. It's charging at about the same speed it did when I had the S5 on it with a charging card inside its back cover, a speed very acceptable to me, I would call it medium speed. The grip of the case is not not super sticky or rubbery, but has a nice feel; much less slippery than my shiny black iPhone 7 Plus which on its own is not much easier to hold onto than a wet bar of soap. The case does cover the cameras lens very well (by a few mm at least?), a big concern of mine, but on the front it the sides extend just barely above the glass. That is a vulnerability I was expecting because I read the reviews carefully, and it is one I am willing to work with as I did not want an otter cover or whatever else that might give greater edge coverage, but also added bulk. I plan to add a tempered glass cover very soon. Without that, I would call this case on its own as inadequate for dropping or scratching protection. Finally, the case fits snugly, but it is not difficult to get the phone in, and needs no fiddling. The buttons work perfectly. A nice change from my S5 cases that were always too tight, like getting into painfully tight jeans, leaving the buttons sort of half-operative. Finally, contrary to the experience of one reviewer I read before purchasing this case, my lightening charger plugs into the hole of the case very nicely. The opening looks too small and maybe out of place, but as it turns out it is just right and the plug pops right in. A well conceived and manufactured case, and as described.

It's okay
This case seems very durable, that's not my issue. First, I could only find it in black, no big deal right? Well the inside of my purse is black. My car interior is black. I keep "losing" it. Second, the area around the lightning port is a little too small for some of my charging cords. It won't so in flush, so it has fallen out during the night and I don't have a fully charged phone. And last, the reason I bought this case was because of the wireless charging in my car. It has to sit just right in order for it to charge. The last case I had was way easier to use, but wasn't durable. I bought 3 of them in 12 - 14 months so I thought I would try this one. I don't know if I will continue to use it, I'll have to wait and see how much it continues to annoy me.
