Loafer was delivered sooner than expected. These shoes are well made and excellent quality. I can use them with casual or business wear. I am very happy with these shoes. One word of caution, when I received the shoes I tried them on with heavy dress socks. Big mistake on my part because the shoes were too tight. I immediately placed an order for refund and printed return label. I thought about my disappointment because I really wanted a pair of high quality black loafers. Then it dawned on me to try them on with light weight dress socks. And then wham, bang, thank you ma'am, PERFECT FIT. I am so pleased now with this purchase. I canceled the refund and return order. Thank you Amazon Prime for great service.

These are beautifully made shoes, so if you can fit you'll probably be happy. BUT, the toe box is too low, too tight. I have no problem with XW or 3X Bass Weejun penny loafers (Bass doesn't make wide widths anymore and before they stopped production of those they cheapened the penny loafer design) or Rockport penny loafers. So, if you have a high instep, move on. Update, despite the listing saying "free returns", I've been charged a $13 restocking fee. Shameful!

You have to be wary of copies and knock offs of reliable products. I've been wearing a version of this shoe since about 1969. The pair i just received is consistence with all of the previous pairs I've bought. These have always been my primary shows -- not reserved for special occasions and I have walked more miles in these shoes than most people have walked miles. I have never (prematurely) worn a hole in the sole of any of them. I have never had the top stitching fail, although if rubbed against the desk or office chair a lot, I expect it would. These are not "normal shoes." They have a life of their own that they will share with you, for years, if you treat them right. When you get them, polish them with a good paste polish. But wear some other shoes when you go fishing. :) Revised 5-28-2019: After wearing these shoes for over 6 months they honestly look and feel better than when they were new. I can't believe some of the reviews. They must be working for a competitor of something. These are very good shoes. Florsheim is best IMO, which is why I have worn them for decades. Use Kiwi Parade Gloss Shoe Polish. This is an honest review. I didn't get paid for my opinion and it is beneath my dignity to accept any payment even if offered.

I ordered a pair of these same loafers in burgundy, also size 8, and they fit just fine. However, the black pair, also supposedly size 8, were a bit large -- not uncomfortably so, but noticeably larger than the burgundy pair, even though both pairs were supposed to be size 8 medium. I would say that the black pair felt as if they were a half-size larger than the burgundy. It was a bit surprising because I was expecting both pairs to feel pretty much the same size. I wonder if anyone else has had the same experience with these shoes.

These are the real deal! They are shiny, sturdy, have the real leather soul and heel which sound great walking down the hall and they fit great. They will take a few wears to break in and you may even have to put some band-aids on your achilles, but afterwards, you will love these dress shoes.

The quality of materials its excellent, but the quality control of the final product is not the best now.. the left side is more stretch than the right side… sorry that is the true!

I definitely would recommend getting a pair of shoe trees with these. They were very tight right out of the box, but loosened up quite a bit after the second day. I broke a shoe horn putting them on the first time. I've had a burgundy pair for a long time and decided I needed to get a black pair to round out the wardrobe. Get finish and sharp looking. I definitely recommend these shoes.

I am very, very, very pleased with this black pair of loafers. My size is 8.5 M, it was not available, so I ordered W (wide), although it feels M to me. As advertised, fast shipping, and I got it at a very good price (for some reasons I noticed the prices change often). This is Florsheim at its best! Thanks a lot.

Me encantaron mis zapatos, y lo que más me gusta es la medida no solo de largo sino de ancho, usualmente es un problema comprar zapatos porque tengo el pie muy ancho, pero estos me quedaron perfectos, además son hermosos y de una excelente calidad.

These Florsheim shoes are about as good as it gets. Great fit and a great looking loafer with of the highest quality leather materials. I highly recommend these shoes!
