Keeping Busy
, Busy Town (Hardcover) My grandson was two when his parents requested this book, he is now ten. Whenever we talk about books, he tells me the first book he remembers is this Busytown book. He loved it, and I gave thus book to my younger granddaughter who also loved it. Busytown is where everyone is on their way to work. The grocers stock and sell fresh food; the bankers keep the money safe; the doctors and nurses make sure everyone is healthy; the postal workers collect and deliver letters; the sanitation workers collect trash and recyclables; the lumber workers chop trees to make furniture and houses; and the workers at the docks, railroads and airports help transport people and freight. What we see as we go down the block are all these workers, males and females, doing their work. The illustrations are bright, vivid and colorful, and depict each worker busy at their job. Parents/teachers will enjoy reading this book to their children. The children are excited to see each job and to see and hear about what these workers are doing. Recommended. prisrob 06-30-15
