Hey, I'm a real engineer - I can read a non-digital vernier!
I've only ever used digital verniers before at my model engineering club. However, usually when you get one out of the tools cabinet, the batteries are either missing or flat. An engineer pointed me in the direction of a regular 'slide rule' type of vernier. I'm a convert! I purchased this product and I am really happy with it. It has a 'long' scale on the sliding part, so it is really easy to read. I use it for all sort of purposes, including checking my car tyre tread depth! Very happy with my purchase.
