Great Chair for the Price
TLDR: Great chair for the price, highly recommend a few DIY fixes when assembling however. I have used the chair for the last three months, and can say for the price it's definitely a great chair. For about $130-$160 the chair has a lot of great features. The lumbar support is really nice and easy to adjust, the headrest is really good, the recline is easy to use and locks very nicely, the backrest feels really good and has not gotten loose on me, and the arm rests have a lot adjustability. I've known others who use chairs that are around $300-$500 and they say they actually prefer this one over theirs. There are a couple of problems I've had though. The seat can get uncomfortable, so I personally use a thin firm cushion that helps me sit in the chair for hours at a time. The recline on the chair is nice, however the adjustment for the force to sit back in the chair a bit more is quite difficult to use, and is not very intuitive on which direction is for strengthening the force for sitting back more, or lightening the load of it. The arm rests do have a fair bit of adjustability, however they do feel a bit too firm, and can cause some discomfort to my elbows at times. I do think adding a little bit extra padding from factory wouldn't add to the cost of manufacturing the chair very much, and if that is the case I would personally like some more padding in the arm rests. It's quite simple to assemble compared to other chairs I've had, however there are a few DIY fixes I highly recommend when assembling it. First, the cover that goes over where the chair legs and hydraulic lift for raising and lowering the chair meets will rattle a lot when moving the chair. What I did was use the foam from shipping, and cut a shape that will go on the underside of the cover so it does not rattle anymore. Second, after a month or so, I noticed a screw that had fallen off the chair, and the chair would creek a lot. When taking a look I noticed all the screws had backed out a considerable amount, and some were almost about to fall off as well. I ended up redoing all the screws with blue Loctite, and ever since all the screws have been firmly in place on the chair. Overall, even with a few complaints, the chair is definitely pretty good, and is great when factoring in the price. I highly recommend it if you're looking for an office chair in this price point.

great height adjustment
The piston on my 2 year old chair failed so I bought this chair to replace it. Largely based on the number of 4 and 5 star reviews and a couple of video reviews by the same couple, who had been using the chair daily for over a year. All in all, I feel this chair is a great value for the money. Comfortable, well made, quality materials, easy to adjust, and really not at all bad looking. Over all very happy with no regrets over this purchase. High points: 1) The seat height is very good. I'm of normal height but I prefer a higher seat position. This seat adjustment is very good with a substantial range. Found the perfect height immediately. 2) The recline feature is easily adjusted to provide the right balance of upright support and ease of tilt-back. It holds position with the slightest amount of pressure. Great for relaxation. 3) The head rest is very comfortable and falls at the right height...most of the time. 4) The mesh back keeps me cool and comfortable. 5) The arm adjustments, up / down, forward / back, inward twist / outward twist are easy and make it simple to find a comfortable position. 6) the adjustable lumbar support is easy to adjust and really helps for long stints in the chair. Not so high points: 1) The seat, while comfortable, can get warm. the fabric could be more breathable. 2) I would love to be able to adjust the seat back up / down. It is comfortable, but seems to hit my back at a higher position than is ideal for me.. 3) Would like to be able to adjust the height of the headrest. 4) would like to be able to adjust the height of the lumbar support. Conclusion: I would definitely recommend this chair to anyone.

Great quality for such a competitively priced product
I am not much of a "connoisseur" of office chairs. However, I did decide on this one for it's price point based on recommendations from people who claim to be connoisseurs. Starting with assembly, which was incredibly easy, I had no hitches and the process took me less than half an hour. I did require an extra set of hands, but only to hold the seat steady when attaching the arms. I've never had such an easy time putting castors onto a desk chair as well. I was easily able to do it with one hand, by gripping the metal leg and using my thumb to push in the metal rod of the castor. I also thought it was a good idea to make the mounting points on the arms adjustable as well. Very pleased with the setup, was easy and quick. Now onto the product itself, I am pretty happy with it. It is quite comfortable, and incredibly adjustable. Seat cushion is a little stiff but that doesn't seem to be much of a bother for right now. Mesh backing feels good, and the headrest is very nice as well. I would recommend this product for anyone who doesnt want to drop an exorbitant amount of money on an office chair.

Comfortable until it breaks and leaves you injured
It was comfortable at first but wore out extremely fast. The seat padding wore out in just a few months and felt like I was sitting on plastic and bolts. I got an aftermarket seat cushion for it and used it for another 2 years until the headrest broke off from gently leaning back. Now I have stabbing pain through my neck and shoulders from my head falling back when it broke and a chair that was a complete waste of money for how long it lasted.

Great Quality , and aesthetic
Was looking for a budget friendly ergo chair for my Office / Game room. It’s hard to find them with an all black build and polished base , so I seen this on YouTube and figured I’d take a shot!! Quality blew my mind, assembled in under 15 minutes , these guys even include the tools needed!! The lumbar support is perfect for me and I am 6”3 , 200 pounds!! So fits a larger guy just fine! I use this everyday for work, 8-10 hour sessions and I have 0 complaints. It does have a few cons. Arm adjustments to the cushion area does not lock, so it adjusts with light effort , drives you nuts if you move a lot. This also collects cat / dog hair super easy. Aside from that, I have 0 complaints! Worth the $120 sale price I paid 100%

Comfortable But Not Super Durable
A solid comfortable chair in many sitting positions. Downside is that the tilt back tension constantly needs retightening, there’s a clank of gears when leaning back, the arm rest material is falling apart slowly, and the head rest isn’t supported with enough material. The head rest support area broke on mine because it’s not strong enough to hold the head rest in place when it’s fully extended. When added weight to the rest while leaning back, it creates leverage the broke it from the seat. I think I’ll try to fix it by screwing it on permanently. The arm rest isn’t the best when there’s pinpoint pressure exerted by my elbow. It blew out material on the arm rest and now it’s slowly breaking down more.

Uncomfortable seat
I'll start with the positives: The ergonomic back feels great, the mesh is firm enough where it doesn't sag too much when you lean back, but springy enough to form to your back. The lumbar support feels nice with the height and depth adjustability. The range of motion for the for the back is great, I lean back a little while working and I lean back all the way when I watch videos or talk with friends online. Putting the chair together was pretty simple, I've done my fair share of assembling chairs in the office ranging from complex to easy as ever, and this one only took about 30 minutes to assemble. The price-tag is pretty reasonable, the chair usually goes for $300, but I got it on sale for only $170, so that was a plus. If I had spent that $300 and noticed the negatives, I would not be a happy camper. Now for the negatives: I would NOT recommend this chair if you are on the heavier side. The "high density foam," is overly dense, making the cushion too firm to sit comfortably for multiple hours. The first day I gave it some time for the foam to compress and get used to having weight on it, but after the 2nd and 3rd day, it was just as bad. My tailbone was hurting after only a couple hours, even with sitting as upright as I can. I had to get a separate seat cushion just so I could sit for over 4 hours on it. The headrest only fits into the back by a ball bearing and is held in my pressure, which means that over time, the headrest will become loose and slip in an out of the sockets that the ball goes into too easily - which it has already done. After leaning my head back on it for just 3 days, it is already wobbly. The seat depth itself is pretty bad, when I'm all the way on the back of the seat with my back pressed up against the chair, the front edge of the seat only goes to halfway the length of my thighs.

The Comfort of Firmness
After watching BTOD Youtube channel of chair reviews, they've stated many times that the Ticova is very comfortable for its price point. I was very much skeptical at first, but I kept hearing there's a breakin period before it starts to make sense. I bought it on sale at $180, and then an additional $50 coupon. It was too hard to pass up on, however concerned to why it was on supersale to begin with? After the easy assembly which took maybe 15-20 minutes, I sat in it for a few hours. At first I thought "okay, pretty good". The lumbar support is immediately pronounced, it braces up against the lower back in a firm but snug contour. It's flexible plastic which allows it to slightly flex in accordance with my figure. After using the backrest knob to adjust the depth of the lumbar to its lowest setting did it become very comfortable. It honestly feels like it's correcting my posture after years of neglecting "chairs" I've cheapened out on. The seat cushion is comfortably firm if that helps to explain it. Ergonomic chairs aren't supposed to be cushy and plush; they're supposed to be firm and rigid to conform to our ideal posture. The 3D armrests are customizable for up and down, forward and backward, and turned left and right. Softly firm smooth handrests that feel sturdy. Headrests adjusts up and down, tilting forward and back in such a way that allows for easy adjustment, along with a secured feeling of padding. There's even a slightly forward tilted position which is great for focus and productivity. Swivel is very smooth, and the reclining function is several points of locking. Overall recline tilting is very smooth and sturdy. Caster wheels aren't quite the smoothest across my carpet, notice how it tends to almost pull the carpet it it which is a tad concerning. Might have to replace them with better wheels. I don't have many complaints yet since the week I've owned it. In time I will come back and update this in about 6 months to further review it.

Backpain after sitting for 1 hour. Unable to adjust height of lumbar support. Unable to lock in backrest tilt at specific angle.
