Updated for good reason!
Updated 6/12/23 - after a couple weeks using the recliner due to how comfortable it is i decided to change my rating from 4 to 5 stars. it might not be perfect but the level of comfort more than makes up for it being a bit harder to lower the footrest. I deal with near constant lower back pain. when sitting in this chair the relief is fantastic.the assembly was very easy. only four parts. the back and seat sections slide and snap together. the other two parts being the arm rests. while the velcro sides were easy to place the zippers not so much. while the overall quality of the recliner is good the zippers are awful. they used the cheapest plastic zippers possible. consequently getting the zippers to mesh was a real pain. i found i needed to hold the pads vertically to line them up. after doing so i noticed a couple of the zipper teeth had already almost pulled free from the fabric holding them.the chair is comfortable and fits my 6' 2" frame well. only my heels hang o er the foot rest. raising the foot rest is very easy to do using the side latch. however and this is it's biggest issue, getting the foot rest back down. it's difficult to push it down and slightly under before it clicks into the locking position. if your older, too short or for any reason don't have good leg strength i would absolutely steer clear of this recliner for the aforementioned reason.as said the chair is comfortable. the arm rests have zippers so on down the line should you want to replace the stuffi g/padding it'll be an easy task to do. it rocks and swivels on the base very well. i wish the headrest was a bit bigger but a small pillow fixes that minor issue for me. the material used looks almost like genuine leather.overall i like the chair and my biggest gripe and only reason I didn't give it five stars was due to the difficulty getting the footrest back down and locked into place. even with that issue I don't regret my purchase as it is very comfortable and fits my taller body frame. however i can't emphasize enough how due to the footrest this isn't a good choice for most elderly or those with leg strength issues.

Great Chair
Comfy chair, easy to assemble. I recommend putting some padding on the bottom if it is not on a carpet to prevent it from making noise when rocking (takes about 2 minutes).

Not easy to close.
The chair is comfortable to sit in. Closing the recliner is very difficult.

Sad
Chair is comfy but after owning it for a little over a month, it leans to one side. My husband is an average size person. I guess you get what you pay for. I’ve emailed company and no response. What is wrong with people?
