Does what it’s meant to. Great quality. Found it abit difficult to open though.

The manufacturer would earn brownie points by enclosing a simple drawing explaining how to open the clip. Once I'd consulted other reviews I began to understand that it's paint that is making the opening difficult , although a better explanation of which side is the "lock' and which side is the "hinge" would be helpful. Overall, these seem a good solution to a broken zip problem, although they may prove to be not robust enough for the job. We shall see, but in the meantime I'm pleased to have found something that might do the job.

A good quality product. The locking hoop is quite thin (about 1mm) and will fit most zips. Unlocking the pin to fit it to the zip is very difficult to do by hand but very easy using a small pair of pointed pliers. Once fitted it is very unlikely to come undone.

Genuine review from someone who has actually bought these and tried to use them, and not a bot/paid actor leaving glowing reviews for something that is not fit for purpose. Do not bother with these zip replacements. I had to get a pair of pliars to squeeze the faster tight enough to open the catches, but I bent the first one doing this because it was stuck so solidly that the amount of pressure I had to apply to wrench the catch from the concrete grip of the housing warped the flimsy bar it is attached to, and would then not close again. Honestly, I think these were factory spray painted while closed, or at least closed up while still drying). When I finally opened one carefully enough for it to still be useable (making indents in the flesh of my fingers that I fear may never truly fade), I still couldn't get it to close again because trying to line it up properly while it was through the zip pull of my bag was absolutely impossible. I don't have massive hands, in fact I'm usuall pretty dextrous, but I would need the nibe fingers of a starving victorian pickpocket urchin to be able to properly manipulate these things to line up, properly, but even then do not possess the strength to bend what I'm sure has to be the pure titanium-strength alloy bar (that somehow still bent out of place so easily when it was pressed too hard) back into position. I do not know how something can be simultaneously so fiddly, while at the same time needing the strengh of hercules to bend it back far enough to get it into the teeny, tiny slot. It cannot be done, don't be fooled by the pictures that make it look so simple and easy to use. The fingers in the images are not green like The Incredible Hulk, so they cannot be the ones responsible for manipulaating one of these as shown in the display photos. I'm sure the company know you will break at least one trying to get them open, rendering returns impossible and rely on this to prevent ever having to process refunds, so do yourself a avour and get one that has a karabinar-style opening, or a spring-lever bar pull.

Hmmm...opening the catch mechanism is a pain in the proverbial. However, they look reasonably sturdy so time will tell.

Sturdy, yet has a good feel in the hand. I added them to the backpack easily and quickly. I also like that they came four in a pack, exactly how many I needed for the backpack. Will definitely buy again.

Works fine

The zipper pull seem to be painted after they have been made and the paint has dried leaving the clip hard to open as you have to break the paint bond to open it. I had to use long nosed pliers to open them and then found they wouldn't lock. I had to spread the clip so then had to squeeze it to get it to go in. It then locked perfectly and held well. I took off one star for the problems the paint caused. Apart from that they are working well and I'm happy with them.
