RJ45 Ethernet Connector Breakout Board w/LED Screw terminals

Might be the best value with the highest quality for this type of unit. High quality screw terminal strip (don't take this for granted). Also has holes for adding pins or other connectors. Not mentioned is that there is a connection to the shield and connections for the two normal signal leds which can be used for other purposes which is a very nice plus especially if you are using this breakout for non-LAN purposes (I often use cat5 and RJ45 cables for an inexpensive low power and/or signal wires for CATV, module connections, etc., anywhere where a nine wire or less connection might be useful.) Will likely buy a few more (if they don't raise the price for some reason). Very handy to have around if you build electronic stuff. Note, I also use DB9 breakouts for cabling sometimes)

The screwdown connectors are self-centering and firm in their grip. I solder 18 gauge solid copper wire to the ends of stranded wires and insert the solid copper wire in the connectors. My application is power over ethernet to drive an 8 watt headphone audio amplifier (about 16 volts and 0.5 amp) , right and left stereo signals, and another low-power 5V device (audio filter). Works great.

I have an outdoor security camera in a tree, and the female RJ45 connector corroded beyond repair. I used this adapter to replace the corroded connector, and then covered everything with silicone sealer.I have used other female RJ45 connectors that had push-in insulation piercing connections, but they always failed over time. The screw terminals on this adapter solved that problem.

Works great! Using two of these to send and receive a DMX signal and 12v over rj45.

This was just about the only way to convert an RCA phono connector Male to a RJ-45 Male connector. It is clean conversion.
