I looked at several safes before deciding to purchase this one. When this safe arrived within two days of my order having been placed, I was more than happy! It is made of fairly thick steel and weighs a hefty 10 kilos with the option of being able to bolt it to the floor or wall. It is large enough to fit an average household's valuables inside. All in all, this safe is exactly what I was looking for :-)

I bought the Chubb safe to replace a Yale safe with faulty keypad. The new safe arrived promptly but proved a huge disappointment. The key operated lock only worked if you applied force when inserting the key and was kindly replaced by the supplier SecureSafe Ltd. The replacement safe was fine. It doesn't say much for Chubb's quality control standards.

After purchasing a lower priced safe with keypad digital (that didn't work) elsewhere, I selected this one because it's kep operated only. The shelf is great & can be removed if not needed.Great purchase for the price.

I bought this safe primarily for it's brand (Chubb ) and size the external dimensions were important as I was fitting it inside and existing floor bolted safe (A proper AIS rated S2 graded safe from a good manufacturere uk based) . This was to use as an internal coffer safe in my larger and more professional safe. .I have to say I was pretty disappointed at how flimsy this Chubb Air 15k was the door is maybe 4 mm as stated but measure out at 3 mm on my caliper eitther way it's not very robust and could be bent open IF a pry bar could be inserted the body of the safe is 2mm steel and appears to be mild steel very easy to drill a hole in with even a basic DIY drill . I know this because I had to drill a 6 mm hole in the back to fix it inside my safe as the existing holes were not in the correct position for my particular purpose.It states on the sales particulars that it is "rated" at £1000 cash and £ 10,000 valueables overnight although no mention of insurance checked by the AIS or such which properly rates safes . I urge anyone NOT to store anything like that in this safe overnight or otherwise as it is just not capable of stopping a basic burglars with basic tools from gaining access I would estimate in under 10 mins if that maybe even 2 mins if they have any competancy and basic tools to hand at all...... I am storing 2 Rolex watches in mine worth about £10k BUT INSIDE a much more robust safe that is rated at £ 60k valueables . In short it is a not bad day access safe to keep stuff safe from being snatched or taken without a little bit of effort (ie more than a min worth of effort) . The lock and bolts and key etc are ok and reasonably robust but the whole safe at £80 delivered is in my opinion overpriced and would be a decent buy at £40 but no more secure at that price of course . It's definately chinese made to a very low spec and price on behalf of Chubb and is not really qualified to be called a "safe" . My advice is if you want a decent safe to actually protect valueables from anything more than the most basic and inept of thieves then invest more money in at the very least an S2 graded safe which delivered from most decent safe manufacturers will set you back £ 300-£400 min . If you can afford more spend more £ 500-600will buy you a serious safe to protect your hard earned valueables and it's a price worth paying .In conclusion Chubb Air 15 k safe ...not much more secure than a childs money box with the build quality and thickness of body of an office stationary cupboard ( you know the kind the big metal ones ) and should not be considered capable of protecting £1k cash and £10 k valueables overnight in my opinion . spend more money and buy a proper safe... for me it is a lockable box welded inside a decent quality safe but really did expect better quality at the price .

It has enough space to protect A4 papers. The coating looks nice and durable. Will serve the purpose and was delivered within a very short time.
