Makes a fantastic green curry. A firm family favourite

Very tasty hotter than I expected

Using May Ploy paste a lot now and the green is my favorite.

Short of making my own paste, this is the next best paste for a green curry I've used to date. Good flavour, really spicy (which suits my personal preference). You really don't need to use very much, takes a bit of trial and error to know how much to use for your personal taste but I've found that for two people, one generous tablespoon plus one can coconut milk is about right. Will definitely re-purchase when my current tub runs out.

I bought this as making authentic green curry paste is time consuming and it's not always easy to get the correct, authentic ingredients, and the stuff that you usually get in jars is never very good. I've also previously bought the Mae Ploy Massaman curry paste and it was very good.When I opened this the smell was exactly the same as when I have made my own paste in the past, which was encouraging. I made a curry using the suggested amounts and it was very spicy. I'm quite good with heat but I was sweating and my family also found it pretty hot. Next time I will use half the suggested amount of paste and I suspect it will then be a little more manageable.Overall it's a good product, but if you're not used to full on blow your head off Thai levels of spice just bear that in mind when you're measuring out your paste.

You only need a small amount mixed with veg or poultry to give an authentic curry taste. We will buy again but as you only need a tablespoon it could be a while.
