Yes this is pricier than other gold sheets but that's because these are REAL gold. Other gold sheets are usually some type of gold colored metal and I definitely wouldn't want that on my cakes getting eaten. These sheets are very small and extremely thin (another way to know they're genuine gold) the black cake pic I posted I used 4-5 sheets, while the red/white cake used about 10 larger sheets. They add a very elegant touch to any food and have no taste whatsoever. They are very fragile and disintegrate if touched too much (real gold)

Pure 100% gold. So beautiful but oh, such thin little squares. It will flake at a touch. And sticks to anything, your fingers, containers, etc., not to be removed. Unless you know a trick I don't. Be ready to put it on your dessert or whatever immediately. Once you take them out of the sheets of paper, there's no going back, no way to save them. Such an awesome sparkly golden shine.

Container was small and almost empty. There was one nice size flake that was usable. The other little bit that was in the small jar stuck to the lid or jar itself and we were not able to use the flakes. This was a costly disappointment. Look for something else to use.
