This little switch has been running 24x7 for the last seven months. Hasn't missed a beat yet. It flows 10Gb traffic using SFP+ adaptors without issue. Supports 1gb 2.5g and 10g that I've used with it. It is well built with it's metal housing and it generates no noise at all. Setup is plug and play and no management as it is unmanaged. I slide this in the backside of my desk there's a cable tray it's small and fits perfect there.

First of all, this switch can accept two uplinks. This is a great feature that you usually find on high end switches. I connected two of my poe cameras to this switch and they both connected without an issue. The first camera is connected directly to the switch while the second camera is connected via a patch panel that is about 50-60ft in length. Both cameras did not have an issue with power. Also this switch does not make any noise. At first I was concern that the switch might generate a lot of heat because it is fanless. I soon to realize that heat is not an issue. I will probably move all of my POE cameras to this switch and ditch the 4 port poe switch that I been using.

No problems for me. I have the 8 port version running in a semi-indoor garage area to feed POE cameras and a couple other things for around 9mos at this point. I installed the 4 port version of this at my mom's in an outdoor space under 2nd floor deck area and it's been chugging along fine for her for a little over a year at this point.

So here is my review. I live in central florida and a few days ago we experienced a typical rainstorm. The switch was mounted on the back covered porch area with exposure to a cross wind and direct lateral contact with wind driven rain. All the ports we damaged even though only 5 cameras were plugged in. See the pictures below. Amazon is sending a replacement and ive already re-terminated the cat5 ends. When the new device arrives tomorrow I will update the review on if the switch also created a surge powerful enough to damage the cameras.

Tolerates New England weather without hiccup

I got the 8 port 10/100 with dual GB uplink model. I was curious why you would even need dual GB uplinks with only 8 100MB ports. I quickly learned the dual uplinks are not actually aggregated uplinks, it’s just basically a switch with 8 10/100 ports and 2 10/100/1000 ports. This is a good option for an NVR with PoE cameras or a small network with a NAS. Tech support is only available via filling out a web form on the Chinese manufacturer website. But unless you get a defective device, there’s not much to need tech support for.

I needed a faster router to connect my new 2.5Gb network disk storage with my laptop and desktops. It connected easily to the multi-port adapters I added to my computers to also upgrade to 2.5Gb. You can also aggravate the two 2.5Gb ports to get a single 5Gb channel.

I bought two of these at the same time. Great switch with lots of features.
