Only used this once, but it pulled a decent vacuum and was much cheaper than taking my car into a shop for an AC recharge after fitting a new compressor.

First impressions are great. Pulled my home hvac system down to 240 microns. Bought as a backup for my work rig, needed to test it out and had a repair to do on my own system. Pulled a large split heat pump unit with 55 ft of line down to 240 microns in 15min. I was using 1/2” vacuum rated hoses with an 3/8 “Y” adapter. Hose fittings were 3/8 on one end to 1/4 on opposite, 6ft length. After a triple evac system held at 240 for over 2 hrs before charging. Can’t really ask for more. As far as longevity- time will tell.

Nice, budget friendly vacuum pump. I wouldn't buy it if I were running an auto shop, since I don't think it's good enough to withstand daily use; it gets VERY hot. But, if you need a pump that you will use only once in a while, this one should do the job. I did 2 car air conditioners with it, and had no problems.

Awesome vac pump. Bench testing with Appion valve, hose, and CPS gauge was able to reach 81 micron within 15 min. I connected two hoses to each service value on a Trane XL16i with 70 feet of lineset and pulled down to 300 micron in less than 60 sec. Let it run and pulled down to 170 micron in 34 mins, far exceeding needed vacuum to recharge a unit. This pump has a bleed ballast to release the majority of the pumped out gasses in the first few seconds so you don't contaminate the oil as much. Was also impressed that the vent cap didn't spray out oil mist like I have seen with other pumps. Weight of this thing feels like it is substantial. Highly recommend this pump.

Pulled it out of the box filled with the oil it came with and pulled a system down within 30 mins. And it was extremely quiet which was a pleasant surprise.

Bought this vacuum pump to recharge a vehicle ac after a compressor replacement. Pulled down to atmospheric pressure quickly for the leak check. Let it sit for 30 minutes with no leaks then pulled a deep vacuum for 45 minutes. The pump did get hot and expelled a little oil out of the fill port but did its job. Now thinking about installing a mini split in my camper....
