It is easy to set up and worked perfectly to keep my dog from jumping the fence

I needed to put up an electric fence for my small garden after years of trying to use other fencing to keep animals from destroying everything. I watched several videos on you tube so that I would know everything about installing an electric fence system. I went with fiberglass fence posts, 14-gauge alum wire and I put in 3 grounding rods, each 4 1/2' deep. This fenceMate .5 joules had me questioning it's effectiveness from the moment I installed it. My meter readings just didn't seem where they should be and when I tried the blade of grass test I really began to question this energizer. I know I installed everything correctly because I put great detail into studying how to do this. The click was always nice and loud and the power light was great at night to tell it was on and working. After 17 days it just stopped working and I returned it. I don't want another one of these. I usually will wait at least two months before I write any reviews but in this case I just wanted to say I bought one from another company and it is a little more powerful but the results are really impressive. The reading are up there where they are suppose to be and the blade of grass test would have my hand jumping after just moving it an inch closer.

It's very small and convenient to install, working perfectly for my small garden

The energizer arrived fast and was easy to install. It worked perfect for a little less than a month then just stopped working. No Flashing light on the front. No clicking sound coming from the unit. No voltage could be read from the line. Tried different outlets but that didn't help and I even opened up the unit but nothing looked out of the ordinary. Granted I didn't pay an arm and a leg for the unit but I still excepted it to last more than a month. Submitted a question (help request) to the company and am waiting for their reply. Pretty disappointed.

The deer haven't been by since I put it up. I took the dog next to it while he was on a leash and he touched it and freaked. He tested it on his own two more times. Now, he won't go near the fence. If I touch the fence with a finger tip it give a startling jolt but doesn't hurt. I can hold the wire with a whole hand grip and barely feel the pulse.

I like how easy it is to install; it is an excellent quality and well-put-together product. Perfectly designed for small garden

I was trying to use this for a small pig enclosure. The included ground rod wasn’t even close to enough. I had to spent a lot more money to get this unit working.

Quit working after one month of use. I even had a plastic cover over it to protect it from the weather. Disappointed.
