I really like the form factor on this piece of gear, not only does it help me stabilize my footage but has a really nice soft light feel.The "color rating index" being a 97+ is quite impressive, I'm so surprised at LED lights just getting better and better with this purity in light recreation. The softness and ability to have a full range of RGB blows my mind.All of the functions on this rig are more than I imagined. Really any camera can be mounted to this and then you have the phone adapter which is perfect, I had to film some hand to hand defense videos and this actually worked out perfect to be able to move around anywhere and still have that fill light and glint in their eyes that is so important.This is a rugged and super convenient light/camera stabilizer and which the extra battery ports and cold shoe adapters, it just seems like endless mounting options.At first this thing seems too huge for what I needed but for real that all changed when I started using it, having a full light with that size of source fills the face and eyes just right. And moving your hands out away from your phone or camera gives it that smoother movement that looks way more pro.

Neewer is a great company that makes excellent products for professional photographers and this smartphone video rig is no exception. The clever rectangular housing with its large bank of lights on the top and bottom is complimented by the hand grips on either side of the lights which produces much steadier videos because of the two-handed operation.The rig uses the very common Sony NP-F series of batteries and Neewer included one of the smaller NP-F550 batteries plus a charging base, cable and wall adapter so you can start using the rig right out of the box. The rig can hold and use two batteries at the same time.It has a full range of intensities and color temperatures from 2500°K to 10,000°K.The rig is well built out of a strong hard plastic and the two horizontal banks of light are quite bright and produce a directional but soft front fill light. Their intensity is steplessly variable from 1% to 100%.The light has three modes: one for white light settings with intensity and color balance adjustments; one for colored light settings where you adjust the color of the light you want along with the saturation and intensity; and a third mode which has 17 different preset lighting scenarios.My biggest disappointment with the light was the inaccuracy of the color balance read-outs. You ere set the color balance in 100° Kelvin increments starting at 2500°K up to 10,000°K, which are displayed on the rear screen. Unfortunately, the actual range is much different which seems to be the case with most hand held LED lights these days. Here's what my color meter read when measuring the light at its 100% intensity setting.2500°K is actually 2200°K3000°K is 2850°K3200°K is 3030°K4000°K is 3580°K5000°K is 3980°K5500°K is 4200°K6000°K is 4400°K7000°K is 4750°K8000°K is 5000°K9000°K is 5550°K10,000°K is 6200°KThe color temperature solution for me will be to cut some CTB gels and tape them over the LED banks if I need really accurate color temperature readings.The rig can connect directly to your mounted cell phone via Bluetooth which allows the rig to start and stop the video using the round button on the back of the rig which has been conveniently placed underneath your right thumb. This button will also fire the camera if you're in one of the camera's various still modes.The cell phone mount is designed to hold your phone without a case on it. There isn't enough room to get a cased-phone behind the raised rubber bumpers on the mount. The bumpers are designed to keep your phone securely locked in the mount to prevent it from falling out..Despite the color temperature inaccuracies, it's an excellent rig that I will use often.

If you want to take your creations to the next level, you will definitely be on your way using this NEEWER Smartphone rig.You can mount your camera using the included adapter and just use the lights to bring professional quality lighting to your productions. BUT, this rig is SO much more than that.First, the rig is very comfortable to hold with two contoured hand-grips. This is a nice feature as continued holding can produce shake so the more comfortable your grip, the better. This rig comes with a LCD display and uses SONY NP series rechargeable batteries (NP-F750 & NP-F970, etc). NEEWER goes above and beyond in supplying you with one 2600mAh NP-F550 with the rig. You can also power the rig using a DC power adapter.This rig is so feature packed that it's hard to believe the price. The quality and workmanship are all excellent and the rig is light enough to take along on any shoot. You get not one, not two, but FIVE cold shoe mounts! This gives you plenty of options from adding shotgun mic's, additional lighting, etc.The lights themselves have 3 modes of brightness as well as adjustable color temperatures from 2500K to 10000K. You can also enable Bluetooth and take control of your smartpjone or iphone with the rigs master control button.This rig is robust and has lots of features you're sure to use repeatedly to bring your videos and photos to life.

If you wanted to step up your smartphone filming, the added stability you get from and extra hand is hard to beat. On top of that, the two integrated light bars are great for filling your shot with light, and at such a high CRI you can be sure that your phone won't automatically add any weird tint to your footage to compensate. The cold shoe mount is super convenient for adding a mic, too, but that's more useful to most iPhone shooters since Android tends to have spotty external mic support.

I'm a NEEWER product fan, and this Video Rig is no exception, it's a great product for creators :)- First, I couldn't find any cons on this product, which is great thing.- The Rig is not too big, but big enough to make it very useful filming Rig that you can attach multiple accessories around the rig. It comes with 5 Cold-shoe Mounts- The LED lights on 2 side of the rig is bright enough and comes with multiple functions.- As an amature content creator, this is overkill speck Rig at surprisingly low price.- The battery pack 2600mAh NP-F550 is A+ and also compatible with NP-F750 & NP-F970 batteries. Which if you're content creator you may already have one of those batteries that you can use on this Rig.

Me encantó, realmente es ligera si la ocupas para hacer video en movimiento, y tiene una luz muy potente. Además que cuenta con muchas configuraciones.

I can't understand how this product has such a score?! It is an absolute disappointment from Neewer for 3 reasons:- the battery charger is USB-A (in 2024)- the permanent power plug is round, universal (I think), without cable or power supply anyway- the minimum light intensity is very very strong, much too much and tiring in many situations!Almost useless!
