Hockey Goaltending

I've read a few books on goaltending and this is by far the best and most authoritative, especially with the accompanying DVD to illustrate technique. I used this to work on my own game and now use it as a reference to help me with coaching, too. I have suggested this book to more people more times than I can remember and would bet I'll be suggesting it many more. Overall a very good, comprehensive, and easy to understand guide to a position that is not usually so easy to break down.

I am a beginner at the position and use this book as a guide to what I need to learn.I recommend this to all goaltenders or those interested in becoming a goalie. Good stuff.I also have "The trend quickest ways to improve your game" and "10 simple tricks the pros use" both good.

Video is great resource my 9 yr old who has watched it several times. He plays at a higher level if he watches prior to a game. Very helpful for me so I can reinforce what his goalie coach is teaching him.

Got this book for my aspiring goaltender son. Excellent training tips and routines in the book, supplemented by a fantastic training video covering all aspects of conditioning and goaltender training. Highly recommended.

dvd stopped .... couldn't watch it all

Nice resource for reiterating knowledge or adding to current goalie training repertoire. DVD adds a dynamic component to what's in print.

This is a great working tool from the professionals for both the rookie and accomplished. Comes with a really handy cd highlighting the moves. I found that it was easier to see the move rather than just read about it and imagine.

This book has been very helpful. I was kinda doing some of the right stuff, but this book has brought more focus to my game. Paying more attention to technique. My angles are better and i am covering more of the net. I like that they don't just show how to do something right, but explain why it works and how not executing a technique properly can cause issues.I am 57 and have only been playing nets for a few years. So I have not grown up playing the position. Therefore i don't execute a perfect butterfly. I do more of a hybrid technique.
