Sram MTB Centera Twist Shifter 9 Speed Rear 2:1 Fits Shimano, Black

Purchased this to replace the wife's click changer on her e-MTB that was causing her issues due to arthritis, quick to install and works a treat. Happy wife etc. etc.

I used this to replace a Shimano RapidFire plus shifter as my ageing thumbs were struggling to use it. Gripshift makes it a lot easier to change gear as there is little pressure on your thumbs. The change is not quite as 'slick' / positive as a Shimano RapidFire shifter, but perfectly adequate. One advantage is the ability to go from one end of the cassette to another in a single movement - great if you need to shift a lot of gears quickly. One of the few 9 speed shifters still available. Seems to be made entirely of plastic, so unsure as yet regarding the longevity of this Gripshift. Takes a fair bit of space on the handlebars and you may need to cut down your bargrips or purchase some replacements. Mine is paired with a Shimano Deore derailleur (RD-M591) and works well. I did use it initially with a 'Shadow' type derailleur, but the stronger spring on that type (RD-M592) made shifting more difficult and less accurate. If you have weaker thumbs, this is a good option to try.
