Just got my hands on the Beetle 1TB, and I’m seriously impressed. The speed is insane. Reading up to 1050MB/s and writing at 1000MB/s makes moving large files and videos a total breeze. It’s been a game-changer for editing on the go and managing my backups.The USB-C connection is smooth and works seamlessly with both my laptop and PS5. And with 1TB of space, it strikes the right balance between capacity and portability.Honestly, if you need a fast, rugged, and dependable SSD for everyday use or travel, this one’s definitely worth checking out.

This is a cute little digital hard drive. It connects without issue, laptop identified it straight away, its fast, very portable, excellent quality, very quirky looking, in a good way, The 512gb is adequate for my steam games, it plays games with no lag, so in my opinion its Perfect.

The storage is compact but not tiny, has a really high quality build and looks great.It performs perfectly - very fast data transfer and huge storage for the price. Couple of these and you can make your old PC run faster by freeing up existing memory.Fantastic product.

good value drive with good capacity and resonable speed

First off, it is very small for an external drive due to the fact that it's an enclosure for an m.2 ssd (which is smaller than sata that is used in most other drives) making it much more portable than the competition. See attached picture for comparison against airpods pros when using the clear protective case.Testing the speeds of the ssd, it reaches 1091MB/s in sequential reads and 1070MB/s in sequential writes which are the most important stats to look for when just transferring data. This speed does drop down to as low as 28.5MB/s in random writes with 75.5MB/s in sequential reads which both are a lot more useful if you intend to use this ssd as a game library or as an operating system. Though it is fairly low, it is still on par with sata ssds making it very usable.As for features of the x31, it includes a protective clear bumper case in the box that is slightly raised to protect it against drops. It includes thick usb a to usb c/usb c to usb c cables that are heavy given their small length. The ssd is given a dram buffer which is important as many manufacturers ignore this in favour to save money. The dram is a small storage inside the ssd which will store data at fast speeds allowing the drive to sustain this speed for longer before getting slower (any drive with no dram will get slower quicker than this) speeding up smaller transfers to and from the ssd.Overall if you're looking for a small powerful external ssd then I would easily recommend this to anyone. Though be aware that smaller storage sizes of any ssd will be slower than the larger capacity models so you could end up with marginally slower speeds.

Formatted the drive to APFS on arrival and got the following scores in BlackMagic Disk Speed Test on new M4 Mac Mini using a 1GB file transfer.Decent enough speeds for an external store for documents and other items.Initial test using the supplied exFAT indicated almost double write speeds but not sure if that's an error with the disk software.Not supplied with any software or similar, but wasn't looking for that. Comes with two cables (USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A) and a "protective" cover - which is basically just some TPU or similar wrap that goes around the sides of the device. As it'll be on the desk full time, I installed the protective cover, but don't anticipate it being needed. Cables are quite short - plugged in to my Mac Mini, it cannot sit flush on the desk.

This is a small but efficient drive which I keep plugged into laptop for daily backups. Good price for a 1tb drive. Would recommend
