I have a 2015 Lexus GX 460. It technically has remote start through Lexus Enform, but that ran on 3G cell service. Once the 3G networks were shut down, it became inoperable. I purchased my GX used so never even had the chance to try the Enform features, but anywho. I had previously tried a remote start system from a different company called 12VoltSolutions. Unfortunately I was never able to get it to work because during the app setup, it kept saying an existing remote start system was detected in the car. Which I guess is true and would be the Lexus Enform system. I contacted them and they basically said there was nothing they could do, so I returned it. I came across this system from Start-X, and figured I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did. It works perfectly so far and is able to start my GX without any issues. I've had it less than a week so I can't speak about how it'll perform long-term, but if there are any issues I'll definitely update my review. I plan on eventually getting the module that enables you to control it via an app on your phone, but that'll have to wait. One thing to note. On my first try, the system did not work. I thought I had performed the programming procedure correctly, but I guess I didn't. If it doesn't work the first time, there is a page in the instruction manual that comes with it that shows how to factory reset the module. Perform the factory reset procedure, and then do the programming instructions again. Also, it will probably help to read the programming instructions completely, and then reread them in set of twos. Meaning when you read Step 1, also read Step 2 before you do Step 1. Reason being is that there's one or two steps you have to perform while still doing the previous step. So it'll prevent you from releasing a button you still need to be pressing from the previous step. So just as an example, Step 2 may say "While still holding the programming button in Step 1". So if you didn't read that step already and let go of the button you'll have to start the programming all over. Just read it in steps of two. Also, after receiving my unit, a few days later I received a message from the seller saying I need to test my horn. Apparently there's a risk the horn may not work if there's a black cable disconnected in the steering column. I tested mine and it worked just fine. Just something to be aware of. Other than that, the install is very easy to do. Total time to install was maybe 20 minutes. Overall, I'm very happy with this system so far. Hopefully it'll be trouble free as time goes on.

Bought for my wife’s 2014 Lexus GX460 for Christmas. Installed in about 30 minutes with the help of their car-specific installation video. I’m pretty handy, but I think you could do it even if you’re not a handy person. Works like a charm and hundreds cheaper than having one installed at a car audio place or Best Buy.

Earlier this year I bought the remote start for my 2015 4Runner and loved it. My partner has always been jealous so I finally bought him one for his 2015 GX460! Because I already had experience installing the one on mine, his took maybe 10 minutes to install. Programming the module was a little confusing at first because you HAVE TO plug them in a specific order (luckily it’s listed in the brochure!) Another thing to note, is that I missed one crucial line in the listing. You can remote start your vehicle just fine, but completely UNLIKE my 4Runner, the Lexus GX has a “factory security feature” that you can’t bypass: once remote started, the vehicle will SHUT OFF when you unlock and open the door. Causing you to have to start the car AGAIN. Although isn’t that much of a hassle, I can’t imagine how this impacts the vehicles starter now having to start the vehicle twice as often. (In my 4Runner with the equivalent remote start kit, the vehicle will ONLY shut off if I press the brake before I insert the key I’m ignition) Another cool thing is that we have two key fobs and they both work with only one module programming, so no additional programming is needed. There is another review on here that mentions their steering wheel controls do not work. We do not have this problem and all the steering wheel controls do in fact work.

Easy DIY addition! Instructions on YouTube were recommended and much better than those included. Unfortunately, remote start only works from unobstructed 20-30 feet away. It'd be nice to start the AC from inside the restaurant. Would've given 5 stars had it automatically included the optional long distance receiver. Note: There's one small factory plug, top right side, that's difficult to access. Patience was necessary!

Great product. The instructional video made it easy install. It only requires a few simple steps to program the module. The whole process only took about 30 minutes to install and put back together. I would caution if you haven’t worked much with car dash panels, be patient. Time seems to “bond” the parts together as they settle. Steady pressure should free them. To sum it up: great product, easy install, highly recommend.

Installation super easy and worked upon install. After install I noticed the steering wheel controls no longer worked at all. I contacted customer support and they advised to remove the device completely and check pins on the 30-pin T-harness. All parts look good and no bent pins. I removed the device and put all factory parts back in place and the steering wheel controls still no longer work and the lock button on the remote does not lock the car and the car beeps and does not stop. Not able to lock the car. This is EXTREMELY frustrating as now I am not sure what to do about the steering wheel controls not working and the lock button not working to lock the car. Very frustrated and upset…. This needs to be fixed and addressed.

Worked amazing. Shipping took longer than expected but didn’t bother me. Took 10-15 minutes to install and program to me 2012 Lexus gx460.

Easy and fun installation plug and play. Programming was exactly like the manual says. Good product!

Little bit confused during programming but quickly figured out. To remove the steering column cover is hard without leaving prying marks. Hope it will last for few years.
