My old sprinklers, which were melnor also, started to kick the bucket, so I decided to give these a try & I’m so glad I did. I like to over seed my back lawn with clover in the spring, & it’s always taken four sprinklers set up to water the whole yard consistently. But I only need two of these so it frees up 2 hoses, which is nice. I love that the spray pattern is super customizable and even has a flow adjustment (something I had to do at the spigot with my old sprinklers). The plastic tabs that adjust everything seem a lot more sturdy than my old sprinklers as well… Those had all snapped off and it was kind of a pain to adjust (what adjustments you could) on those. The two I purchased are the ones with the spike, but I may purchase a third that has the butterfly base just to have if I need to plop it down somewhere easily. Would recommend!

I think this is such a superior product and highly recommend it for these reasons: the spike means it...stays...in...place! and the adjustability is tailor made for any yard in any size. full water, it reaches a lot of grass or in my case just an annoying narrow strip of backyard that gets hit in every single spot. The Adjustablity of the oscillation is what got me. Yes, it's plastic but once you're done with it put it away and (I think) it will last a long time. Again, I couldn't be happier with this!

Only 1st use but I like them! Small and work well. Easy to adjust. I hope they hold up in the sun.

PROS: This sprinkler mimics rain across my lawn, showering my fruit and palm trees, which you can see in the video that I've attached to this review. You have the ability to spread the width of the sprinkler, as well as control length of coverage, using the orange tabs for adjustment. It covers an impressively large area. You can also control the flow, which make this device versatile. CONS: the coloring tends to fade, especially if you live in a sunny state like I do here in South Florida. While I appreciate the fact that I can rotate the sprinkler in many different directions, the shaft of rotation is a bit flimsy and tilts slightly to the left or right. You will need to anchor it down level to ensure that it sprays the exact area that you are trying to cover. I have had it for over a year and so far it is holding up and performing well, but its long-term durability remains to be seen Overall, it is a great sprinkler for the price. I have a double lot and so I purchased two, which covers the majority of my yard.

I didn't know how much I needed this in my life until I used it. I live in a very urban environment, so I already don't have a lot of yard. And it is naturally divided into even smaller plots by quite large and old trees (by urban standards, of course). And there's also a public sidewalk to take into consideration; don't want to be raining on unsuspecting passersby! But almost all of it is planted out and needs watered often as the trees hoover up any of that rare moisture that makes it through the canopy to the ground. So it has meant a fair amount of time and energy hauling about a hose to individually water every plant. I'd never even considered a sprinkler due to the size of my yards. It would just be overkill and definitely spraying innocent pedestrians. But then I just happened to come across this while looking at unrelated gardening supplies. You know how Amazon be. And it clicked for me that this might be the solution I didn't know existed! At that price point I was sure going to find out. And it absolutely is! It's very easy to dial in a watering area, just play with it a few minutes. And while it will sometimes sort of "drift" from where you originally set it, either by wind or fluctuating water pressure, you do still have a fairly exact zone of watering. Just stick it in the ground (the spike works a treat and does double function as home security) and fiddle with it for a few and then you can go on about your business and let it do the work. Now, this can still be set to water a fairly large area. And there is a connector on each side, so these can be linked with hoses into a multi-unit set up, if need be. So even if you have a large suburban tract that needs a riding mower to handle, you may still find a use for this wee beastie. Especially if you have some part of it that needs watered more often in a smaller area.

GOOD: The sprinkler itself is good. It can water a large area (with no wind) without having to constantly move it. The customization of width and length is also really nice. It's light weight. Controls are easy to adjust. I've use it for 2 years and so far it's held up nicely. BAD:If there's wind though, don't expect the water to go where you want it too. The quick stop attachment is great in theory, but it does seal to the sprinkler, I'm always getting sprayed by it, and if you do the quick stop, the sprinkler just drops off. That part is kind of annoying.

Perfect for a garden for exact watering! Got this for a community garden plot that I wanted to be able to inexpensively water without wasting water. I was able to set the parameters and took me a few minutes of fine tuning.
