Proper length
Worked out very well. Tried a shorter putter and it worked out.

decent mallet putter
I wanted to see what this brand was about. I have had a few blade and one other branded mallet putter. I prefer the blade version as it gives me for feel and control for shorter putts. But they're not great for long putts that need more power/momentum. I have to have a much longer back swing in order to get the energy needed, but that causes loss of control and inaccuracy. This mallet putter definitely provides that extra power and accuracy. But I find I don't have the same feel and control for short putts. I almost always have way too much power and go quite long past the hole. There's no insert of a softer material in the sweet spot; it may be a marketing gimmick saying that it provides better control, transfer of energy, and touch. Some believe while others do not. I'm ambivalent. This putter is all metal with a blackened surface to avoid sun glares. The shaft is not too longer, good for my 6'1" tall height. The grip is solid and tacky and the cover is very well padded and easy to pull off and put back on. The head weight feels right and it stays on track on the back swing and follow through. There isn't any weird twisting or torque. The two alignment lines are handy to align your putt. This is a perfectly fine putter, but I still prefer the blade version for most of my putts. I think it's still a bit expensive for an off-brand putter.

Putting around
Tried it for a season, and decided I wanted a little more weight behind it.

Large head that produces smooth hits and a low reflection black with contrasting guide marks.
The Mallet Putter 34” by BombTech Golf, is a very nice performing putter that produces smooth consistent hits, that actually goes in the hole. With a large, easy to balance head for consistent results, this is a worthy consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned about it while owning it and things to consider before buying. I. Quality – I found the quality to be very nice for this level of cost and shouldn’t disappoint. The finish, materials used and grip are all a respectable quality that have worked quite well for my needs. II. Performance – The grip is very comfortable and has a good amount of rubbery feel to it. The finish on the head is low reflection black, reducing any sun bouncing in my eyes and making the alignment marks easy to see. For me, the head is on the lighter side compared to what I’ve had in the past and another one I have from this company. It has a solid hit to it that isn’t tingy or empty feeling, just a good pop. The large, balanced head makes the sweat spot a little larger as long as your aim is correct. It also comes with a nice cover. Overall, I’m impressed with this club and how well I can make my puts with it, while providing an enjoyable experience. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. If you’d find it helpful to see an up-close visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen or landscape. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

So far so good
I have purchased and played with BombTech’s wedges before and really love the 56 degree wedge, driver and 3-wood. I was excited to order and try out their mallet putter as I have never played with a mallet style putter before, having kept to my small blade putter for over almost 20 years. The putter weighs in at 18oz and is a bit lighter than expected. The sculpted grip is 10" long and the shaft is 30" (including the grip) before it bends and then it is 2 3/4" to the head of the putter. With the bottom of the putter sitting flush on the ground, the top end of the grip is 32 1/2" off the ground. The putter comes with a nice faux leather, padded cover. The top flap looks like a set of rabbit ears that, with the help of some velcro, keep the cover firmly wrapped around the head of the putter. The face of the putter is 3 15/16" wide and 15/16" tall. The tail end of the end extends out 3" from the face to make a uniform D shape viewed from above. There is a 7/8" wide, 2 3/16" pill shaped hole cut into the tail portion. I'm guessing this is a weight saving measure but also a design that results in a sweet spot for contact on the face of the putter. The markings on the surface of the head are helpful for ball alignment. The bottom of the putter is perfectly smooth. In play it definitely took a few holes to get used to the weighting of the head, even with a fair amount of putting green practice ahead of time. It took a while to get to know how much strength is needed for lag putts. At my skill level long lag putts are definitely a thing! Short putts of 4ft or less were definitely easier to get used to. I will definitely keep this putter in the bag for a few more rounds before deciding if I want to switch to it permanently.

A good starter putter
I’m pretty new to golf but I have used quite a few putters recently and on the whole I think this is a good starter putter, it has some weight to it making it easier to hit the ball more accurately, I like that it comes with a cover for the head, and the overall quality is very good, my only complaint is the price, there are other putters from higher end brands that are just as good if not better in some ways, but I guess it depends on what you are looking for and what works for you, overall it’s a good putter and worth considering if you want a budget putter.

Nice putter for the price point
Nice putter for your average to beginning golfer. A very good price point. Other putters out there can easily cost 3-4x as much. How ever there is a reason for that. I now use a putter that has movable weights, and I like the weights in the back of putter. It straightens out my back stroke when I putt. However thats not in the same class as this putter. This putter easily compares to and works as well as name brand putters that are 2x the cost.
