Obviously I can't speak on the flavor, BUT, I can say my two silly Rhode Island Red laying hens, Lucy and Ethel, absolutely LOVE these!!!! They like them right out of the package, but they are now spoiled since I had the bright idea of watering down the larvae!!! Was that ever an eye opener. lol!! WOW! The girls now expect to get these after every meal, and will follow me around their coop, screaming at me, until I get done cleaning, and toss some to them!!! They are a bit pricey, yes, but my girls deserve this quality product because they give me beautiful brown eggs every single day as a 'thank you'!!! I do recommend these.

These black soldier fly larva far exceed the quality of others I've purchased for my chickens. Even though the 5 lb size is a big bag, not one of them is flattened or in pieces even at the bottom of the bag. They are all plump and appear to be very fresh. My chickens really enjoy them. As long as the quality remains, I will continue to purchase this brand.
