Very sharp
Great kit for taxidermy work, I had some European mounts to do and needed a scalpel and this kit had 8 handles and a whole lot of blades for a great price.

Very good quality
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality if these items. I had a little issue attaching the blades but that really could be my own lack of experience working with these types of blade attachments. There is a nice variety of blades.

Overall quality was pretty good definitely worth the price. The only complaint I have is the Blade Dolan kind of fast but it may just be what I am cutting which is polyurethane foam, but I would definitely recommend.

Super sharp use lots of caution!
These blades were ordered to help with skinning rabbits. They are amazingly sharp & each blade type comes with its own handle so you can use more than 1 style at a time. I would recommend cut resistant gloves while using the scalpel just to be safe. We have only used the blades one time so far so I don't know how durable they are. I can't express how imperative safety is with these blades. One slip & you have lost a huge chunk of flesh! Yes they are that sharp! Please be extra careful with these!

I like these scalpels. For me, being able to attach an unused razor sharp blade whenever I need is invaluable in many ways. I will say that these high carbon blades are extremely prone to corrosion. If you cut a box open even the tiniest amount of adhesive on the blade will cause it to get rusty within a day. Because of this I wipe the blades in mineral oil before use them, just a thin layer to help keep the blades clean and rust free.
