Detective Pikachu Returns (Nintendo Switch)

I love the first one, so happy he's back and we get more into the story to find Tim's dad.

Came as expected.

Its not going to be every Pokefan's cup of tea. Its quite reminiscent of old-school graphic adventure games as opposed to modern Pokemon games. There is also a lot of cut-scenes and text scrolling (albeit not as much as the infamous Metal Gear Solid 2).However it features lots of great pokemon from Hoenn, Kalos and Galar to name a few; and an interesting story line. I haven't played the first Detective Pikachu game, but if you've watched the film its easy to pick up the storyline.Only criticism I'd make is its not that easy once you've completed the main story arc to go back and visit all the areas - as there isn't any significant wide-open-world mechanics (not like Arceus or Pokemon Scarlet / Violet) - nonetheless you can go back and replay individual levels from a selection menu.Glad I bought it? Yes, I am. Would I recommend, yes I would, if you've got a bit of patience to see it through.
